• Krishi Vigyan Kendras(KVKs): Farm Science centres: KrishiVigyan Kendra (Farm Science Centre) is an innovative institution of ICAR established at district level. The first KVK was established during 1974. KVKs play a vital role in conducting on farm testing to identify location specific agricultural technologies and demonstrating the production potential of crops at farmers’ fields through front-line demonstrations.
• District Agricultural Advisory and Transfer of Technology Centres (DAATTCs): This centre was established in 1998. The main motive of this centre is to assess and refine the technologies generated by the research scientists and their suitability to different farming situations.
• Agricultural Information and Communication Centre (AI&CC): The Agricultural Information and Communication Centre (AI&CC) is an extension unit at headquarters of ANGRAU which supports the university in dissemination of farm information. Objective of this centre is printing and sale of ANGRAU publications along with arranging exhibitions at national and state level as forums.
• Farmers Call Centre: First and foremost in the history of Indian Agriculture “Farmers Call Centre” with an innovative idea of transferring novel scientific technology in Agriculture to the farming community. It is accessible to the farmers of Andhra Pradesh on toll free number 1800 425 0430 connected to all villages.
• Geospatial Tech. Centre: Geospatial technology encompasses a broad range of modern tools including remote sensing, geographical information system, global positioning system and internet mapping applications contributing to the collection, analysis, interpretation and mapping of spatial data. Geospatial tools enable quantification of spatial and temporal variability of climate and soil conditions across regions.
