Dr. A Ramachandran’s Diabetes Hospitals at Chennai has been founded in the year 2007 and it is a dedicated healthcare organisation for diabetes care and as authenticated research centre. This affiliated college is situated at No 110, Anna Salai, Guindy Chennai and this college has a compact area of 0-acre campus. There are two postgraduate courses for offering diabetology, student enrolment capacity is 19 and faculty strength is 10 at the hospital. However, as a centre of learning with a specific concentration on diabetes, the institute offers a pool of training educationally, clinically and academically in equal measure for the aspiring diabetologists.

Dr. A Ramachandran’s Diabetes Hospitals strives to offer the learners and other stakeholders quality facilities that augment teaching and learning as well as positive healthcare services. Students have access to schools’ departmental laboratories which are essential in both teaching and practice in diabetes and research. Auditorium provides a place for introducing and popularising the results of scientific activities as well as participating in academic meetings, workshops, and conferences. Dr. A Ramachandran's Diabetes Hospitals offers two full-time postgraduate courses. These fellowships include a two year Fellowship in Clinical Diabetology and a one year Post Doctoral Fellowship in Diabetology. The purpose of these programs is to prepare highly skilled diabetes specialists who are capable of addressing new problems in diabetes care and investigation.
