Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the Engineering Degree in Electronics and Communication /Electrical & Electronics/ Applied Electronics / Applied Electronics and Instrumentation / Electronics & Instrumentation / Electronics and Bio-Medical / Electronics Engineering . For SC/ST candidates a pass in the Engineering Degree course is sufficient. For SEBC (OBC) students, a minimum of 54% aggregate marks in the Engineering Degree examination is mandatory.
Candidates, who have passed AMIE / AMIETE Examinations and satisfying the following conditions, are eligible for admission. 1) They must have a valid GATE score. 2) A minimum of 55% marks for section B in the AMIE/AMIETE examination.
Candidates who have appeared for the final semester examination can also apply, provided he/she has passed all the subjects up to and including the 6th-semester exam. Confirmation of admission of such candidates shall be subject to the production of a qualifying degree -before the date stipulated by the affiliated university.

Admission Details

Admission to the MTech programs is based on the GATE score of the candidate. In case of more than one candidate having the same GATE score, they will be ranked based on their marks (or grades) obtained in their qualifying examinations. If seats remain vacant due to a lack of candidates with valid GATE scores, the remaining seats are allotted to candidates who do not have valid GATE scores, based on their mark (or grade) in the Engineering degree examination up to the sixth semester. After the last date of receiving applications, the ER&DCI Institute of Technology shall publish the list of selected candidates and the list of waitlisted candidates for each program. Reservation, as specified by Govt. of Kerala, is applicable in the selection process.
