Infrastructure is somewhat good but not as good as other B schools. The library is equipped with all the required stud material new old all the data thesis are available here. Food is not that good its just for survival.
All teachers are well knowledgable and helpful in nature. The faculty is a alumini of IIM A. Teachers are capable of all sort of teaching capabilities. usually they teach us through case study methods and all members in the class is allowed to express their views on the said case study
This is a major lag in the college according to me.. as being from a Finance background the college lag in realing in finance profile as most are from marketiing and sales related Job Description.....
The cost of overall course is 7.5 to 8.5 lacs.. I feel am getting my money worth as there are plenty of opportunity to grab here as guest lectures here are value addition and faulty as well is not less of a celeb
The college lack medical room for emergencies and locality is sort of a left out from city life as there is nothing nearby to visit except for eye care center which is almost adjacent to the campus...
This college has almost all the necessary infrastructure, facilities as well as equipment within the campus only, except college hostel. As it is a bit farther than from the college building. But the area around the hostel is quite good as it is situated in the market place, where all the required items for a student can be easily brought. Our library has about numerous books related to our course and sufficient spacious to study over there. All the staffs are very helpful & cooperative.
I'm pursuing PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management), the course which is nowadays very popularly chosen by students of almost all sector. I believe it is because of the reason that we can find scope from where we can grow ourselves more, and could generate same for others as well.
i personally believe that placements of any college depends upon the facilities that college is providing, how students are utilising those facilities and develop themselves to create or generate opportunities for themselves by their own or by others.
The cost for this course per year can be check on their respective website, and feel in some way that I'm getting some value for my money that I'm investing here in this college. Neither I prefer nor I'm against this college, it's just point of view of every other person and it changes from person to person.
Campus life till now is average and might be because of us or because of the management, that I'm not the person to say. It totally depends how we create our external environment, that is, our campus, for us.
Well I have enjoyed my college life over here and that made possible because of initial cultural event that I managed and all those started from there, our fresher's party, then events, then National Tour, lectures, cases, and yeah who'll forget presentation day.
Dear Aspirant,
Comparing colleges is always a tricky affair and we can only go by general guidelines and since both don’t figure in the National Institute of Ranking Framework (NIRF), we will not be able to qualify one is better than the other.
When looking at the syllabus of each in the MBA Finance programs, it is very obvious that Chitkara’s Finance syllabus is much more progressive in terms of industry requirements of today and in your second year you can actually opt for specialization in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance & Wealth Management. While Fostiima’s program covers a wide range of topics and tends to give you a look and feel of a company’s operative elements including finance. Since they have subjects like HR & Marketing etc. Another point is Chitkara has 8 semesters in comparison to Fostiima’s 6 semesters, which means the intensity is much higher in Chitkara from a program point of view.
We suggest you take a very close look at both the syllabus and compare it with what we have said and then take a decision. Don’t forget this is your first management decision.
Good Luck
