GNITS Hyderabad Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science provides accommodation to students wishing to reside in the hostel. The hostel also has a Hostel Council which is an advisory body comprising the Warden of the Hostel (as its Chairman), the Asst. Warden and the elected student secretaries as its members. Every student who has been admitted to the institute is required to pay the prescribed hostel seat rent and establishment charges. These charges are subject to revision from time to time. The rooms vacated by the outgoing students are made available by the warden for other students.

G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

GNITS Hyderabad has a Gym facility with modern equipment for the students.

From a small room in the neighboring Oasis school to the 3rd floor of the EEE block, then to the laboratory of the ECE block from there a spacious and lavish room of 527.31 sq mt., that has a seating capacity of 150 in the admin block; now relocation to a spacious duplex space with 15000 sqft. and seating capacity of 250, with resources, bifurcated between the ground and 1st floors for B.Tech. & M.Tech. respectively, independent spaces for different sections like circulation, newspapers , journals& magazines, e-resources, and reprographic section in the ground floor, with the 1st floor having a processing section, a reference section, access to projects & back volumes, discussion rooms… the journey for the library in the past 16 years has been a long but a very pleasant one. With one each of technical and non-members at the time of inception, the library has strengthened itself to 4 technical & 4 non-technical members today. The library has been the most integral part of the college from its existence. The efforts to increase the 2000 volumes, 600 titles of 1997 – 98 to the present 33545 volumes, 8023 titles are both appreciable and applaudable. This shows an average increment of 1500 to 2000 volumes per year The college library has subscribed to many journals for students & staff - both technical and general which not only help them with technical assistance but also refresh their minds. We have 33 international journals in the print version and also an online subscription i.e., the INDEST AICTE. Among the Indian journals, 73are technical and 30 Magazines of which one is the in-house journal ‘WE’ i.e., Women Empowerment of the H&M department.

GNITS Hyderabad has a spacious Indoor sports room equipped with facilities to play Table tennis, Chess, and Carroms. An Indoor badminton stadium with two wooden courts.

INTERNET CENTER GNITS has one separate Internet Center in the F Block with 40 systems. This lab is equipped with a 50 Mbps leased line. The facility is provided by the management for all the students and staff of GNITS. Presently, the Internet Center is under the control of the Information Technology Department. This full-fledged internet lab contains equipment like COBALT cube, CISCO router, Cygnus Modems, D-link switches, etc. Dr.I.Ravi Prakash Reddy, Professor of Information Technology Department is in charge of the Internet Center on behalf of the IT Dept. This center is kept open from 9:30 A.M. to 6:30 P.M. on all working days. 10.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. on Sundays The total college is connected to the internet with more than 300 systems.

GNITS Hyderabad has a canteen facility that caters to snacks and food for staff and students.

GNITS Hyderabad has an auditorium facility for conducting various events and seminars with large seating capacity.

Considering the need for providing safe transport facilities, the management has taken a decision to provide college transport for the students and staff on a payment basis.

GNITS Hyderabad has a Wi-fi facility provided for the complete campus.

GNITS Hyderabad has a departmental-based laboratory facility for practical learning for the students.
