Gajraj Singh Polytechnique, an emerging technical institution situated in Jamuniya, Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, was established in the year 2018. This affiliated college, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, AICTE, provides diploma courses in the engineering stream. Located in a small area measuring about 4.2 acres, the institute is now admitted with a total of 304 students and 38 faculty members. Gajraj Singh Polytechnic offers three courses at diploma level that are available for full time: civil, electrical, and mechanical production engineering to fulfil the need of technicians and engineers in the country.

To provide detail of its facility, Gajraj Singh Polytechnic has equipped a number of standardised amenities to enhance the teaching-learning process. Classrooms are spacious and appropriately furnished with whiteboards, LCD projectors, and audiovisual systems, which makes the learning environment free from interferences. Every class is also equipped with cameras to ensure that students are secure and to monitor their conduct. A wireless Internet is provided for the campus with a wireless bandwidth of 70 Mbps and a wired network in the computer centre, class rooms, and library with a bandwidth of 100 Mbps. The centrally air-conditioned library is the nerve centre of the institute, with more than 2300 volumes of technical and management books, CD-ROMs, audio-video cassettes, journals, magazines, project reports, etc. With a view to facilitating practical learning, the college offers departmental laboratories. More and more, students can use such amenities as playing fields and other installations for physical activity, a cafeteria, and a health office with a dispensary.

Presently, there are three full-time diploma courses offered at Gajraj Singh Polytechnic, and all of them are regular courses. The total enrolment approved for the institute is 300 seats for the three specialisations offered at the MBA level. All of the 304 enrolled students for the most recent academic year were carrying their diplomas at the institute, meaning students’ occupancy of the institute’s seats was optimal.

The process of admission in Gajraj Singh Polytechnic is very simple, and the admission is given according to merit. Candidates who wish to join any of the offered diploma programmes must write the Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics (JEECUP) offered by the Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP), Lucknow. The rank obtained in this entrance examination determines the status of admission to this institution. This makes sure that deserved candidates from all categories of students will have an equal chance and stand a shot for getting a seat in the programme or course of their choice.

Unfortunately, there is no information with regards to the availability of scholarships; however, there must be scholarships available for students meeting the standard federal government regulations concerning scholarships. Since Gajraj Singh Polytechnic was established recently, some information about the alumni or the students who have excelled in their careers is scarce.
