Choosing between Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) at CET (College of Engineering, Pune) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (EC) at Government Engineering College (GEC) Thrissur depends on your career interests and goals. CET Pune is one of the premier engineering institutes in India, renowned for its strong academic reputation and industry connections, which can provide a significant advantage in the job market. On the other hand, GEC Thrissur, while a respected institution in Kerala, offers a solid program in Electronics and Communication, which is particularly relevant if you have a keen interest in communication systems and related technologies. Both options have their strengths, so consider factors such as location, faculty, campus facilities, and your specific interest in either Electrical or Electronics and Communication when making your decision.
Hello Manisha
Unfortunately, it's highly unlikely that your son will be able to secure a seat in a Government Engineering College (GEC) in Chhattisgarh with a score of 38.236% in the CG PET 2024 exam.
Why is this the case?
High Competition: Engineering is a popular field, and the number of aspirants far exceeds the available seats in government colleges.
Cut-off Percentages: The cut-off percentages for GECs in Chhattisgarh are typically much higher, especially for sought-after branches.
Factors Affecting Cutoffs: Cutoffs vary based on factors like the total number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, and the reservation policies.
What to do next?
While this might be disappointing, there are other options to consider:
Explore Private Colleges: There are several private engineering colleges in Chhattisgarh that might offer admissions based on your son's score.
Consider Other Fields: Based on your son's interests, you could explore other fields like management, pharmacy, or IT.
Improve for Next Year: If your son is determined to pursue engineering, he can focus on improving his score for the next year's entrance exam.
It's essential to have a realistic assessment of the situation and explore alternative paths.
Would you like to explore other options or discuss potential career paths based on your son's interests?
