The infrastructure of our college is pretty good with hygienic washrooms, large classrooms with smartboards, and an auditorium for events.spacious classrooms and a well-stocked library, laboratories for different departments, a canteen, hostels, transport facilities and more. All the facilities at GM Institute of Technology, Davangere are easily accessible and affordable.
There are 20 staff members and a total of 180 students in our department student to teachers ratio comes to a 9:1 ratio. Most every faculty is completed their Ph. D. and some did up to a master's degree.
Students of the 6th semester get placed. Wipro, Accenture and many other companies come here. In the ... 4.1packages depending on companies that come to give job opportunities. Highest I have seen is 1200000 a year. It can be more nowadays. About 30 to 40 percent of students get placement every year.
The dee structure is not too high and the fee is affordable. I had reservation benefits so my fee structure is around 40K.The fee is hiked once in a 5-6 years now it depends on the entrance exam you take like kcet, Comedk and managment
Campus Life 5 Value for Money 4. GMIT has really good infrastructure and facility. Placements: 55 percent of students were placed in our course and in aa big campus with all facilities sports ground it is in the safe place and location is pretty good
Only good thing about the college is the infrastructure. Good, palace like looking college. But Wi-Fi not accessible everywhere. Library does not have enough books for all students. Parking is below average
No proper hands on training for students. Industrial visits are still below average. Still rely on old dictation method like school kids. We have to find internships on our own acquaintance.Definitely not job ready.
Placements for mechanical engineering students is very poor. Least number of companies are interested in hiring these graduates. most of the place to students are working either in IT sector or in low skill low paying industries. Mechanical are civil engineering students are totally left out.
If you are joining through management quota the value for money is the least. No NCC, no extra curricular activities. No proper conduction of sports activities. No exposure to industry level Technology.
College transport is good. Faculty support is good. But all come down to students interest which is lowest. Even if you are into some music or some other arts, there is no such support for them. Infect all kinds of music festivals are banned. No freedom for students.
If you want to seriously learn anything using this engineering platform better go for good autonomous colleges in other parts of Karnataka II which are mostly research oriented even if the the fees are high.
