Government Arts College, Chidambaram Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The Welfare Department of the Tamil Nadu government maintains three hostels on the Government Arts College site. One is for OBC pupils, one is for SC/ST males, and the third is for PG students.

Girls can stay in a separate women's hostel close to the college campus that is run by the welfare department of the Tamil Nadu government. The GAC Chidambaram hostel has a dining area, a modern cooking system, solar water heating, and safe drinking water.

Every year, the number of books, journals, and periodicals is updated. The departments also have their own libraries in addition to the aforementioned common facilities. Students are encouraged to use both the GAC Chidambaram library and the general library. 

Physical education is under the direction of Associate Professor of Chemistry Dr. N. Santhi. GAC Chidambaram sports include Football, volleyball, badminton, athletics, Koko, Kabadi, and cricket can all be played by the students. There is an exercise bike and treadmill in the PED room.

The students at the GAC College have access to first-rate IT infrastructure.

For events and seminars, the college includes an open auditorium space.

The college has a good networking for alumni association.

The college provides student access to department-based laboratories.
