Government Degree College, Akhnoor, is a NAAC accredited college in Vill. Palwan Tehsil Akhnoor, Jammu and Kashmir. The admission process in GDC Akhnoor is merit-based, meant to choose deserving candidates for its different undergraduate courses.

For eligibility, the students must have passed 10+2 from a reputed board. For admission, the college takes the marks scored by the students in the qualifying exam (12th standard) into consideration. Admission to all B.Sc courses is on merit. The B.Sc in Physics, Computer Application, and Mathematics has an approved strength of 25 students. The eligibility criteria are passing 10+2 with the Science subjects, with emphasis on Mathematics and the respective science subjects for the opted course.

B.Com Program
The college provides a B.Com course with merit-based admission. Candidates who have passed 10+2 with Commerce or equivalent subjects are eligible to apply. The admission process takes into account the marks secured in the qualifying exam.

BA Program:
GDC Akhnoor offers a BA course on merit-based admission. Candidates who have passed 10+2 in any stream (Arts, Science, or Commerce) are eligible to apply. The college takes the overall performance in the qualifying examination into account for making the merit list.
