GDC Sopore Admission Process

Government Degree College, Sopore (GDC Sopore) is a renowned institution in Sopore, Jammu and Kashmir, the college has been offering quality education for more than seven decades. GDC Sopore is recognized by the University of Kashmir and has recently acquired accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), which certifies its high standards of education.

Degree wise Admission Process

There are four full-time undergraduate degree programs offered by GDC Sopore:

B.Sc (Bachelor of Science): GDC Sopore has a B.Sc program for those students who wish to make their career in the field of science. The admissions in this program usually depend upon the performance of the candidate in his/her 10+2 exam, and special emphasis is laid on the science subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce): B.Com is offered to students interested in a business and commerce career. The intake is usually decided on the basis of the results of the 10+2 examination, preferably those who studied commerce or commerce-related subjects in their higher secondary studies.

BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration): BBA course offered at GDC Sopore is best suited for students who want to acquire managerial and entrepreneurial skills. Admission into this course can be based on consideration of the candidate's 10+2 marks and perhaps an entrance test or interview.

BA (Bachelor of Arts): The BA program has a broad variety of subjects in the social sciences and humanities. For admissions to this program, the candidate's performance in his/her 10+2 exam is usually considered, along with their subject choices and overall academic record.
