Government General Degree College Manbazar II (GGDCM) and is one of the new colleges founded to impart quality education in West Bengal. The college has undergraduate teaching programs in Arts and Sciences, hence catering to varying academic interest groups. The admission procedure of GGDCM is fairly easy and transparent and draws various candidates from nearby places who wish to pursue their degrees nearer home.

Degree wise Admission Process
Admission to B.A. (Bachelor of Arts) courses for GGDCM is granted on the basis of merit as determined by the marks apportioned in the 10+2 examination, and weightage is given to the subject chosen for Honours. GGDCM offers B.A. in many subjects such as Bengali, English, Santali, History, Political Science, Philosophy, and Sociology, with 285 seats for BA Honours courses.
B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science): The college offers B.Sc. Honours programs in Mathematics, Geology, Zoology, Chemistry, and Physics, each with 15 seats. The candidates who are willing to apply for B.Sc. courses should have studied the relevant science subjects in 10+2. They are selected based on their performance in competitive examinations.
B.A. and B.Sc. (General): GGDCM provides General Degree Programs in Arts and Sciences. The selection procedure remains similar as in the case of Honours degrees, with some relaxation in eligibility criteria.
