The Government Tool Room and Training Centre (GTTC) is the very first technical institution of its kind in Belgaum, Karnataka. Located at Udyambag, Belgaum in the Industrial Estate, Government Tool Room and Training Centre is one of the institutes approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
Government Tool Room and Training Centre has been preparing future technicians for more than two decades with its emphasis on Precision Engineering and Automation.
Government Tool Room and Training Centre has a few diploma courses similar to that of the manufacturing industry. Generally, one has to pass a 10+2 or equivalent examination with science and mathematics subjects for admission. Government Tool Room and Training Centre doesn't have or accept scores from any kind of entrance examinations for admission. Government Tool Room and Training Centre admission is based solely on merit and related to a candidate's performance in the qualifying examination.

The diploma courses offered by Government Tool Room and Training Centre are recognised as full-time courses extending over three years
- Diploma in Precision Manufacturing: This course has an intake approved for 30 students.
- Diploma in Tool and Die Making: This course offers 60 seats for aspiring students.
- Diploma in Automation and Robotics: This course also has an intake approved for 60 students.
- Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: This new programme added to Government Tool Room and Training Centre curriculum accepts an intake of 60 students.
