One of the key contributors to an intensive learning experience is the process of living in a competitive environment on campus. Hostels are sun-shaded by greenery all around with lush green open space away from city noise and pollution. The excellent residential facilities have been carefully planned according to international standards and structured to provide every comfort and a home-like feeling to the students. Stringent, round-the-clock security arrangements and a doctor on call ensure that all students’ needs are attended to. Residence hostels are the foundation upon which community and friendships are built, the college considers the residential experience to be integral to life at GRD, and therefore has tried to provide 100% in-campus residential facility for all the students. To begin with, the rooms are triple seated. They have been specifically designed in such a way that each student gets his/her own personal space without any disturbance from the other residents and yet it provides the opportunity for residents to have a common “hang out”; space in their rooms. The hostel is provided with Water Coolers fitted with a water purifier. The community-living in the hostel provides the students with their social, recreational, emotional, intellectual, cultural, and spiritual needs. The hostels will be provided with modern amenities. Each hostel will be looked after by a Warden and Resident Tutors. The students are required to abide by the rules and regulations.

A well-stocked library for independent study is a unique feature of the institute. The library has an organized open access system to maintain records. All operation of the library is automated with the help of integrated library software. At GRD, they have virtually redefined the meaning of the word ‘library’. In keeping with the demands of the 21st century, the on-campus library is stocked with massive knowledge and referral resources comparable to the best in the world. Right from exhaustive subject-wise books to easy-to-read CD-ROMs and more. they have also put the worldwide web at the disposal of the students to access education and research-based websites 24 hours a day.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

A Well-equipped computer center is operational on all working days. A vital component of the present era of education is computer practical and hands own knowledge of new subject related software. A computer lab is equipped with the required hardware and software sets. There is free access to the library, Computer lab which consists of Microsoft Windows XP Professional Operating system, Microsoft Office 2003/2007, Visual studio, web Browser, Turbo C, Fortran, and other Licensed Software. The hardware and software are calibrated from time to time to keep them in proper shape. All of these facilities are properly supervised and well maintained by the staff members.

A well-stocked Cafeteria is located within the campus to cater to the needs of students. Sufficient care is taken to ensure cleanliness and that healthy and wholesome vegetarian snacks are served only. It has also been ensured that items are priced as per the approved rate list. A cafeteria committee consisting of faculty and students has been formed to monitor the activities. All types of continental food are prepared and provided to the students and the faculty.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

A healthcare facility is available round the clock at GRD for both students and faculty as it is one of the major concerns. The Health Centre will conduct regular medical check-ups by residents and visiting doctors for students and staff. Through the Health Club, the Centre will also organize Awareness Meetings on particular health problems for the benefit of both faculty and students.

The whole campus is 24X7 Wi-Fi enabled providing seamless internet connectivity throughout the entire campus including hostels.

GRD GIRLS DEGREE COLLEGE has its own fleet of buses which provides the transport facility from nearby cities to campus from specific pickup points predefined as per the convenience of the students. Besides the campus is also very well connected by the local public transport. The transport facility is allotted an annual basis for students admitted for a regular programmer for the duration of a regular academic session. The transport facility is provided on a First Come First Serve basis. Routes and pick-up points are indicative and are subject to change from time to time.
