Guwahati College of Architecture, Guwahati is one of the prominent institutes of education was established in 2006 with the aim of developing architects and future urban planners. The institution's computer lab, which is stocked with 80 computers, provides classes in AutoCAD, PageMaker, 3D modeling software, and animation, thereby placing students on solid footing for the digital part of architectural design.
GCAP has two courses, both of which aid to the different areas of architectural education in the two full-time programmes. The professional course is the undergraduate course: Bachelor of Architecture. The approved annual intake for the course is 40 students. Another professional course available is Master of Planning in Urban and Regional Planning that invites budding urban planners.

The College of Architecture, located in Azara, Guwahati, Assam, has been one of the finest in architectural education. The college, approved by the Council of Architecture, adopts a very well-defined admission process aimed at choosing the most promising and aspirational architects. Mostly through the performance of candidates in two national-level entrance examinations-Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)-the admission programs of GCAP are conducted. The admission calendar of GCAP usually works alongside the academic session, which normally starts in August-September. Candidates aspiring to get admission into GCAP have to sit for either the JEE Main or NATA, which basically evaluates the aptitude of the candidate for pursuing architectural studies.
Such examinations were aimed at assuring that the students selected have the basic skills and competencies required for a career in architecture. Application Process
The Guwahati College of Architecture application process comprises a detailed procedure:
