GV Acharya Polytechnic, established in 2009, is one of the premier technical institutions situated in Karjat, Maharashtra. Situated at the foothills of Matheran, this co-educational institute provides a pollution-free learning environment across a sprawling 9.975-acre campus. The polytechnic is affiliated to the All India Council for Technical Education, ensuring quality education in various engineering disciplines. With an intake of 252 students and a faculty strength of 13, the GV Acharya Polytechnic offers a more focused learning experience. Six different diploma courses are being taught at this institute, each of which is a full-time course bringing variety to engineering interests.

Several facilities are in operation within the Institute to support the students in all ways possible. Separate hostels are available for boys and girls in the campus, having a host of facilities within very warm and informal settings. The facilities include quality mess facilities, ultra-modern gymnasiums with sauna and steam bath facilities, and indoor sports areas. The responsible wardens and resident teachers provide security. It shows its commitment to the all-round development of the students through a well-stocked library, the latest modern laboratories, and a spacious auditorium with a capacity for over 300 people.

The students would be provided with a robust IT infrastructure, including Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the campus. The students desirous of keeping themselves physically fit can avail themselves of the facility of the modern gym and extensive sports ground. The institute also provides transport, with bus services available between Kharghar and the campus, for students and faculty who reside in that part of Navi Mumbai.

GV Acharya Polytechnic offers a total of six diploma courses, all of which are full-time programmes spanning three years. Programmes are offered in key engineering disciplines that include Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering. The intake approved at the institute has been 360 through different courses, of which Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering represent the highest intake, with both the disciplines reflecting an intake of 120 seats each. Such a wide range of programs at the institute gives the students an option to choose any specialization that best suits their interest and career perspective.
