Chaughaiya Group of Institutions Sri Kumareshwara Polytechnic Bellary was established in the year 1997, is one of the premier Technical Institution situated in Karnataka State of India – an abode of education. It has been accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) affiliated college that provides the various diploma programmes in engineering stream. Located in a 8 acre campus, the polytechnic claims an aggregate student strength of 568 including clerks and 66 faculty members. Due to this, the institute being a technical institute it as attracted many engineers across the region.

The polytechnic considers itself as one institution that offers a real all round education to its many students. This campus boasts of adequate facilities that can support and improve the education system. Libraries which are deposits of academic works contain more than twenty thousand volumes and 2661 names of titles for various sectors of engineering. This system uses the Dewey Decimal System in its organization and recollection of books; It is also affiliated to the NDLI Club to enhance the e-learning resources available in the institute for the students and the faculties. From a physical perspective, the polytechnic has well equipped and modern laboratory facilities for each department in order to foster practical experience beside the theoretical lessons.

Hanagal Sri Kumareshwara Polytechnic has 7 diploma programmes First-year Diploma Syllabi are designed for full time course of THREE years. Currently, the institute offers the following diploma courses: Diploma in Civil Engineering Key units Mechanical Engineering Electrical and Electronics Engineering Computer Science and Engineering Electronics and Communication Engineering Metallurgy Engineering Apparel Design and Fabrication Technology. Offering a total approved intake capacity of 568, the polytechnic offers a variety of programmes to nurture engineering interests and met demand in the industry.

Hanagal Sri Kumareshwara Polytechnic offers admission on merit basis so that no worthy candidate is left out of his/her dreams of getting technical education. Unfortunately, the dates for exams are not stated but the admission process and date are usually posted on the institute’s website for students to check. The polytechnic management demonstrated its continued competency in the provision of affordable education to our students inasmuch as it provided hostel facilities for only boys and girls respectively as well as giving priority to students from rural areas. These hostels are fully furnished with modern amenities such as powers backup, purified drinking water, solar water heater system, Wi-Fi internet connectivity among others to provide a comfortable / conducive environment for residential students.
