The infrastructure is okay but labs are not well equipped. There are not enough equipments the physics lab and the chemistry lab even caught fire due to carelessness of students. There is a boys hostel but no such facility for girls.
I'm in second year and my major is geology. The quality of teaching is not great. The teachers in the department are knowledgeable but fail to transmit the same to the students. The GE and AECC classes are basic. The bottom line is you have to teach yourself.
Delhi University completely fails in this criteria except some courses like computer science, economics, electronics and B.com and Hansraj College is the same. There are no placement opportunities for geology students after bachelors.
25k is the final fees if examination fees and course fees are included which is expensive compared to other courses. The course is worth the money if you are interested in your major and take benefit of studying under the department.
North Campus is the topic of discussion in university due to it's crowd. The student can engage activities in the college such as taking part in societies and intra, inter college competitions. The college area is safe for students.
Infrastructure is good..not the best.. but good.. some laboratory equipments are either not available or not in good conditions.. library and classrooms are good..wifi facility is availabe.. hygienic conditions are maintained
I am studying geology at graduate level.. quality of teaching is very good except some cases in elective subjects.. otherwise core subject teachers are quite reliable.. syllabus is updated accordingly ..
Highest package has been 31 LPA by Code nation.. average package is about 5.5 LPA.. College has a Placement Cell that works its best to get access to as much companies as possible for students..but its not same for all courses..
The college is huge with dustbins and water cooler everywhere. The library is huge too with AC. The college has boys hostel and the food is really good. The rooms are clean and it's affordable. The geology students have less classes in the college
I'm in the final year of graduation are we have no classes in the college during last year. The college teachers are okay but department teachers are very knowledgeable and well versed with the subject.
The college placements are really good for economics, b.com and computer science department but for geology its zero. You can get some after masters but for bachelors it's nothing. The field needs more experience hence job is a good option after masters only.
The cost of the course is 22k per year, bit expensive than other couses that cost 13k max but there are only two colleges in Delhi University that offer this course. The course is value for money if one can take benefit of studying under very knowledgeable professors in the department.
There are a lot of societies which are active. You can pick any according to your interest. The college is located in Malka Ganj and Hindu Rao hospital is nearest for emergencies. The area is surrounded by PGs, flats, and is always buzzing.
Infrastructure of Hansraj College is not upto the mark, physics labs are under equipped and most of the instruments they have either are broken or don't work. Classrooms have AC but they don't use it. Whereas for department of Geology where our classes for Geology hns are taken has better infrastructure with equipped labs.
If you are planning to do geology hns then department of Geology affiliated to Hansraj College is one of the top institutions providing undergraduation. Faculty is highly qualified and interactive. Hansraj College academics is also considerate.
No placements for undergraduation level. You need to do post graduation in geology honours to get placed. There is no job prospectus after the completion of undergraduate degree only you need to do the masters. Placements overall in Hansraj College is also low.
Hansraj has a great and beautiful building which is well maintained. The condition of classrooms , labs ,library , playground is also satisfactory. Our colleges has all the necessary facilities that a college should have. Few classes are air conditioned and have smart boards and food in canteen is affordable and somewhat tasty.
The new Curriculum of DU is quite advanced it covers variety of intresting topics and subjects (in case of B.com) it tests and increase your conceptual knowledge. The faculty of Hansraj is very good. We have some of the best teachers in India. They are very friendly as well.
Placements are satisfactory in commerce department only colleges which are better than hansraj in terms of placement in commerce are SRCC and Hindu. Average package remains around 5 lakhs every year. Comapnies from different sectors visits the campus during placements.
Yes it is a government college so fees is very much affordable here.
I don't think i need to tell you about the North Campus life. It is amazing.
Infrastructure is great. The library is enough big and is the best place to study in the entire college. Sports club is moderately active. Many intra and inter college tournaments are played. There is a gym also.
I'm a second year student majoring in geology. The quality of teaching is good. The faculty is well versed with the core subject and the GE and AECC teachers are okay. The bottom line is you have to study on your own but the professors will always be there to guide.
For my department, i.e geology the placements is nil for bachelors. Though during masters there is a significant change but still it's not the best. You have to crack competitive exams and qualify job interviews to get job in this field.
Its value for money if you put your continuous efforts. There is quality teaching, you have to approach the teachers and get most of their knowledge. The geology department is the best place to learn with all super seniors, seniors and juniors interacting with each other
North Campus is always buzzing with colleges in every corner. Hansraj College though not the centre but the campus life is very happening with all the events, seminars, workshops going around everyday. Fest time is the best time.
College infrastructure is great, though for geology hons the classes are held in the department so, the time spent in college is less. The classrooms have ACs now, library is very well maintained and is the best place to study in the entire college. There is a gym in the college premises and there is one boys hostel and no girls one.
I'm studying geology. And the quality of teaching is good. The faculty is great but what is more helpful is the interaction between seniors and juniors in the department as our classes are not held in the college. The curriculum is updated and the study does you job ready theory wise.
Placements options are nil for geology students. Though there are options after masters but after bachelors there is no placement. Companies do visit hansraj to recruit students from other stream and you can always volunteer to sit for other interviews.
It is value for money. The quality of teaching, the exposure you get, the interaction with alumni who are now successful it all helps you be a better perosn and delhi university gives you this opportunity.
Great. It is North campus and there are students everywhere and it gets really busy during fest season. Hansraj on the other hand is always buzzing. The location is safe and there are lots of pgs around.
College has installed smart boards, A.C. ,well working library self-service machines. Department of Geology has a museum having fossil samples from different parts of the world and mineral samples. The classes are clean , and the faculty is approachable.
Department of Geology is a Center of Advanced Studies and is located out of the college campus. The faculty here is highly experienced and is easily approachable. Teaching is good . The curriculum is updated.
The college annually holds a placement event that can help you to get good job opportunities. The chances of placement is good after post graduation ( Master's Degree )than the graduation ( Bachelor's Degree) .
The annual course fees is between 22-25 k. Course is interesting and the GE and AECC classes in the college are good enough.
The infrastructure of the department of geology is fine. Proper hygiene is maintained... Class rooms in are good condition. And it also has wifi facilities.. it doesn't not have undergraduate library but you can always ask for help from senior.. also there is no canteen so carry your own food
Currently I m doing undergraduation in geology. The classes is taken by very experienced faculty members... The practicals helps us to gain a overall perspective about the subject... The curriculum is well designed
There is no such placements for undergraduate student.. but department provides you with quality education so there is always a chance of getting job on your own after MSc... Most of the alumni are in very good position in some very reputated companies
Geology students have there core subjects class in the department and AECC and GE is held the Hansraj College... So you get to experience both college life and department life... Department of geology has always been like a family
The college has one of the best infrastructure in delhi university. It has all tge laboratory and equipment. The Wifi has been installed. Sports faculty is good enough. The college maintains good and healthy environment for their students.
This college is best for study. As it provides all the exposure. The direct entry into the corporate world is paved in this college. The faculty is outstanding and experienced. Research and development work is outstanding.
The big four is a dream for all students. This college provide placement for students in the big four college. The avg placement of this college is 6lakhs per annum. Companies show great intrest in students of hanstaj college.
The government colleges are known for their best value for money. With a low fees which is affordable the college is best.
Anti Ragging department are there. The punishment for ragging is severe so there is no scene of ragging. Which is best part. The students have to sign anti ragging form before takin admission.
Hy,
Hansraj College, part of Delhi University, does not offer a BBA course . Instead, it is known for courses such as B.Com (Hons), BA, and B.Sc. If you're interested in B.Com (Hons) , mathematics is typically required as a subject in your 12th grade . For instance, to pursue B.Com (Hons) at Hansraj College, you need at least 50% marks in mathematics or business mathematics along with other core subjects like commerce or economics.
However, for general courses like B.A. (Hons) or certain other non-science courses, maths may not be compulsory. Therefore, it depends on the specific program you're applying for.
If you want to pursue a course related to business without maths, you may need to consider other colleges or courses within Delhi University that might not have such stringent math requirements.
