Hi.
Congrats for scoring a great percentage.
For pursuing Bsc maths hons the percentage of best of 4 subjects needs to be calculated, 2 of those must be maths and english and the remaining two can be any subjects you have scored the highest marks in.
As you have not mentioned the category you belong to it is hard to tell if you can get into Hindu College or not. As the seats for Bsc maths hons gets filled quite fast and Hindu college being one of the prefered colleges by students, the possiblity of getting admission is quite low.
You can check last year's cut off from the link that has been provided below to get an estimate :

Hope this helped. All the best for your future.
Thank you.

Hlw meligiri parimala.

By showing your qualifications or skills..

Hello Vikas, as I can see that you have not specified your category here. If you are from general category then you should have at least 96% for getting admission in DU. Although the cutoff varies from course to course, the cutoff decreases for SC/ST and OBC students. Below is the official link for 2018 DU cutoff(Till final round), you can check your possibility of getting a seat:

DU 2018 Cutoff: http://www.du.ac.in/cut-off.html

In doing B. Sc (hons) Mathematics,  best of four criteria is taken into account. Hindu college is one of the most popular college of the University of Delhi and Maths hons. is one of the best course in Hindu college.

The cutoff depends on your category and best of four criteria. For general category,  the closing cutoff is usually 97%. For OBC category the closing cutoff is usually 95.5%. For SC and ST category the cutoff is lower than for the general and OBC students. The cutoff usually changes every year,  But don't loss hope,  with a luck you can land into Hindu college with 95.25%.

CONGRATULATIONS FOR SCORING SUCH AN AMAZING PERCENTAGE INN YOUR BOARDS. AND AS FAR AS ADMISSION IS CONCERNED, THN YOU NEED NOT TO WORRY. JUST FILL UP THE FORM YOU CAN SURELY GET ADMISSION FOR YOUR PREFERRED BRANCH IN DU.

HELLO VIDHU,

Congratulations for scoring such a good score and according to your question as you have score good % in English as well as in journalism so you will easily get admission in any college of Delhi University. On the other hand it totally depends upon you in which college you want to take admission and in which college your % suits the best.

Also is there any preferences for any other universities or you want to just apply to Delhi university as there are many good options for many private universities where you can go  infact you can also go for B.A. English (hons)  as well as for journalism too.

I think in my point of you should go towards journalism or for English hons as you have such a good score and its really helps you alot in pursuing you masters degree as these days journalism mass communiation is on the highest ranks career which not only gives you the chance to explore more but also give you the very nice experience.

In journalism, journalists which represent as reporters and columnist have to take bachelor’s degree in communications or journalism. In journalism, you have progression in editing, reporting, feature writing, photojournalism and communications. Supplementary coursework is committed by whether a student focused on print or broadcast journalism. Some are concentrating on online media like web design skill and also how to combine text with graphics, photo and video media.

1. Professional Writing

With this degree in hand, you can take up writing, professionally. What’s interesting is that there are many different kinds of writing one can pursue, depending on their interests, from scriptwriting to travel writing, to copywriting or simply writing content for a website or a publication house.

Social Media Marketing

Since social media has become a big part of our lives, you can pursue it professionally after completing BA honors in English too. Since you are well read and can write just as well, you can combine these skills to market different brands to netizens. Plus, if you are already addicted to the social media, this one will come easy to you.

Event management

There are so many events happening all around us. You can organize such events, find sponsors for them, market them to different people and make a lot of money and have even more fun doing all this. You can either go for a course in event management or you can directly apply with an event management company .depending on your interest from Bollywood to Corporate etc. They always give preference to people who can speak and write well.

THANKS FOR ENQUIRING

HOPE IT HELPS

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of our college and department is quite good. Our department is huge. Classrooms are quite good. We have a very spacious library. It has all subject-related books. Labs are quite good. The new science lab is very good and advanced. Our college provides a separate hostel for boys and girls. The boys' hostel is not functioning currently due to some reasons. The girls' hostel is quite good. It is operated by a private vendor, so its fee is high.
