The IBSAR Institute of Management Studies, Karjat. This institute delivers a special postgraduate management as well as computer application program. It follows a very competitive admission procedure with guidelines given by DTE, Maharashtra. IBSAR selects candidates who perform good in their entrance exams at a state level.

The admission cycle is aligned with the academic calendar of the universities in Maharashtra where the applications are open during the first quarter of the year for programs to begin in the following academic year. For the MMS program, admissions are done through the MAH-CET-MMS that is organized by DTE Maharashtra. Admissions into the MCA program are based on the result of the Maharashtra MCA Common Entrance Test, which is also referred to as the MAH MCA CET.

Eligibility differs with each programme. For MMS, an aspirant has to be a graduate from any recognized university. For MCA, mathematics either at 10+2 level or at graduation level is taken as a qualifying degree for getting a bachelor's degree. Institute follows the Government of Maharashtra reservation policy for achieving diversity in student population.

The MAH MCA CET, that is the main entrance for admissions to MCA, is planned for March 22, 2025. The applicants must prepare in advance for this online test. The syllabus generally includes Mathematics and Statistics, Logical Reasoning, and Computer Concepts.

Application process

All the candidates must apply through the centralized admission process of DTE Maharashtra for IBSAR Trust's IBSAR Institute of Management Studies, Karjat. For the convenience of students, the following is the procedure:

1. Entrance Examination: Report for entrance examination on the date given. It is MAH MCA CET entrance examinations and would be held on 22nd March, 2025. The examination would be online.

2. Declaration of Result: After declaration of the entrance examination by DTE, Maharashtra.

3. Application to IBSAR : After being declared qualified with their names coming after cut-off marks through a Centralized admission by DTE Maharashtra.

4. Document verification : All the below-mentioned document should be forwarded to the designated authority

Merit Card from entrance examination.
Degrees and Mark-sheet (10th, 12th and bachelors.
Caste, if so aspired for or other, for the specific demand DTE Maharastra,

5. Merit List: DTE Maharashtra declares merit list on the basis of entrance test scores and other factors.

6. Counseling and Seat Allotment: Counseling is to be applied in the process of seat allotment.

7. Admission Reconfirmation: If any seat is allotted by IBSAR, then confirmed admission is received and fees are paid along with completion of all institute formalities.

Management quota and Institutional vacancy seats for DTE Maharashtra directives are available at IBSAR. All details regarding its application procedure along with cut-off dates have to be fetched directly by contacting the institute.

The IBSAR accepts all the reservations policies of Maharashtra Government and provides students with opportunities as well from varied backgrounds. It has to clearly mention such categories while they post their applications. Documents relevant to it have also to be sent with the same.

Degree wise Admission Process

MCA (Master of Computer Applications):

MCA program is a three-year full-time course which emphasizes advanced computer applications and software development. The admissions to this program will strictly be based on the performance of the candidate in the MAH MCA CET. This is a competitive process and the selection will be undertaken through the centralized admission process conducted by the DTE Maharashtra.

MMS or Master of Management Studies

IBSTAR offers a two-year full-time MMS programme with special emphasis on the development of managerial talent. The admissions for the MMS are conducted through the MAH-CET-MMS that is conducted by DTE Maharashtra. Only candidates who perform well in the entrance examination are selected. The admission process progresses further for selected students as per the guidelines of DTE and may require further rounds after the entrance test.
