Mostly colleges takes JEE main for engineering admission and cutoff for lateral entry is different than 12th pass out students admission. Some colleges conducts a different exam for lateral entry candidates.

There is no separate exam to be taken. You will get selected as per your score in KEAM exam.

Indian Maritime University:-  It has not given the cutoff. It accepts IMU-CET for admission. It provides Btech in marine engineering.

Indian Maritime University will release the application form registration window from 1st week of april in online mode. The last date will be around 2nd week of may.

For OBC and General the fees for application form is Rs.1000. and for ST/SC is 700. Candidates have to pay online.

the eligibility criteria for the exam is;-

Candidates must have passed 10 and 12 from a recognized board and must have Physics,Chemistry,Mathematics and English as major subjects. For general the percentage bar is 60% aggregate and minimum 50% in english. For SC/ST , there is 5% relaxation in aggrregate percentage but not in english subject.

It depends on the college or university you are seeking admission in. The date is different for different universities. It usually starts one or two months in advance to the beginning of a new year of college. You may expect it anywhere in the months of april, may and june.

Indian maritime university of Mumbai port campus is a campus of indian maritime university Chennai. you can take addmission in this institution by scoring in indian maritime university common entrance test (IMU CET).Indian Maritime University (IMU) offers admission in various courses through the Common Entrance Test (CET). The application form for IMU CET for the academic session 2020-21 will be available tentatively from the first week of April in online mode only. Admission to B.Tech, M.Tech, and MBA programmes, among others, offered by IMU and affiliated institutes is through the IMU CET 2020.

Please note-- To participate in online counselling held for admission to IMU campuses, candidates must be listed in the merit list published for the purpose. Or else, the IMU CET 2020 qualified candidate will not be eligible to participate in the counselling session. Such candidates though can apply directly to affiliated institutes for admission. placement of this institution is average and above 50%.
