This is one of the best maritime training institutes
College Infrastructure
It is the first maritime college in india , so it's an old college . The work shop and other labs are very well maintained . For swimming training they have very good and big pool . Classrooms contains 40 students and they are smart class
This college is best for budding merchants.

College Infrastructure
It the most renowned university for merchant Navy. It is a training centre. The college has well organised. It has branches in other cities too. The facilities are very fascinating. Classrooms are big enough. Laboratories are all updated with new equipments. Hostels are well organised. Cleanliness and hygiene is maintained every day.

The Marine Engineering and Research Institute, now known as Indian Maritime University - Mumbai Port Campus, is India's national and arguably the best institute for the training of marine engineers and polyvalent officers.
The Institute offers Bachelor of Engineering courses in Marine Engineering over a period of four years. The college fees is estimated to be around INR 2,25,000 per annum and that makes the total amount of pursuing the course to be around INR 9,00,000.
To seek admission into this reputed institution, you have to appear for their all India entrance examination labelled as IMU-CET. This serves as the gateway to IMU colleges over India.

There are 120 seats at Marine Engineering and Research Institute, Mumbai for the PGDME entry candidates. In order to take admission for the 1 year post graduation course at MERI, Mumbai candidates need to appear and qualify the All India Based Entrance Exam conducted by reputed international and national shipping organisations on behalf of MERI, Mumbai. All degrees at MERI, Mumbai are granted by Indian Maritime University.
