Indra Institute of Management Studies (IIMS), Dewas, is one of the affiliated colleges of Madhya Pradesh, providing varied undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The admission procedure of the institute has been so framed as to select those potential students who will shine in their respective fields of study. The admission process of IIMS is generally aligned to the academic year, which usually commences in July or August. The institute admits for a wide range of programs including the MBA, BBA, B.COM., BCA, B.Sc., BHM, B.Des., PGDM, EPGDM, etc. For undergraduate programs, the basic eligibility is a pass in the 10+2 exam from a recognized board. Depending on the course applied, subject requirements may differ. For example, B.Sc might require science subjects in 10+2, while BBA or B.Com might accept students from any stream.

Application Process

The IIMS admission process entails several stages that focus on a fair and thorough evaluation of interested applicants:

1. Online Application: Interested candidates can visit the official website of IIMS and fill the online application. It is pertinent that every detail is filled in correctly.

2. Submission of Documents: The candidate should submit scanned copies of relevant documents along with the application form. The commonly submitted documents include:

• Bachelor's degree certificate and mark sheets (for postgraduate courses),
• ID proof (Aadhar Card, PAN Card, etc.),

3. Application Fees: The candidate should pay the application fees as prescribed by the institute, usually through credit card, debit card, or net banking online.

4. Entrance/Interview: Depending on the course, entrance tests or interviews at the college level may be required. The national or state-level MBA entrance examinations are considered for management programs.

5. Publication of Merit List: After the evaluation, IIMS publishes a merit list of selected candidates on its official website and notice board.

Degree-wise Admission Process

MBA: For general MBA programs, IIMS offers admission for 120 students and 180 students for MBA in Marketing. The admission is probably based on academic performance at bachelor's degree level, lesser entrance examination scores, and possibly a personal interview.

BBA: This Bachelor of Business Administration course lays the groundwork for management studies. Admission is on merit-based assessment of 10+2 results along with either a college-level entrance test or interview.

B.Com.: Eligible for admission would be those students who have completed 10+2 with Commerce subjects. The admission process may encompass merit-based selection based on marks obtained in the 12th standard.

BCA: Admission to the Bachelor of Computer Applications is commonly given to students who complete the 10+2 examinations with Mathematics. Admission may also consider marks obtained in the 12th standard and also conduct an aptitude test.

B.Sc.: B.Sc. Programs available are in Biology, Mathematics, and Computer Science. Admission will generally require 10+2 with science subjects. Admission is most likely based on 12th standard marks in the relevant subjects.

BHM: All streams will be eligible for enrollment in Bachelor of Hotel Management. Being a practical profession, the next tier of selection could be through entrance test and interview to determine suitability for the hospitality industry.

B.Des in Fashion Designing: Creative aspirants with a calling for the fashion industry can work on this. Basically, a review of the portfolio and an aptitude test will form some part of the admission criteria apart from the 10+2 results.

PGDM: The Postgraduate Diploma in Management is a full-time two-year program. In addition to graduation marks, entrance test scores (CAT/MAT or other) and performance in group discussions and personal interviews might be taken into consideration.

EPGDM: The Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Management is for working professionals. The minimum criteria for admission will be years of work experience in addition to a bachelor's degree.
