Our college had the decent infrastructure. we had spacious classrooms, computer lab with latest softwares and applications. A large common ground and mess to hang out with our fellow classmates during breaks. All well maintained and utilized.
I've studied Bachelor's in computer application. The teaching varies but it was overall a decent experience and teachers were very cooperative. The curriculum isn't updated as much as would've wanted but we can be somewhat prepared for entry-level positions.
Placements were okayish, had a few good ones out of the bunch. Average salary expected. The placement process was neither too good or bad, at times a little bit hectic but college managed it put it well in the best of their ability.
The College IMS(Institute of Management Sciences), lags in terms of infrastructure, as the classrooms are not well equipped with the basic necessities, Such as Fans, Projectors and Generators. The liberary was also not up to the mark as it doesn't have the required amount of books and it also doesn't have the wifi facilities
I have done BBA(Bachelor's of Business Administration) from here and I have choosen this college because it was near to my place and the staff their was very helpful and friendly in nature and the lecturers were also well qualified, The curriculum was up to the mark also
The only thing in which the college was lagging is the placement part, as this college was not too known in other states and cities of the country so because of that reason it never got the opportunity of visiting of different companies in the campus for the placement
Infrastructure is average but there are all the facilities that a student require(computer labs, library and a sports ground ). The college has a canteen where you can get yourself some fast food. Overall average.
I am studying BCA at the college and I will graduate this year. Some teachers have a good approach towards students and will help you to clear your concepts time to time, but at the end it's the student who has to study well to score well. Where as curriculum is concerned I don't think it's up to date because of the new technologies in IT sector. And what we study here makes us job ready ? It depends on the skills a student posseses.
Companies do come at the campus mainly for B. Tech grads but if you have a good academic record you get a chance to sit in the placements. I was placed this year in a company with a package of 3 l.p.a. . The placement process was good and yes the college was supportive in the process
The course cost per year is around 50K. Well if you get placed then you do get your money's worth.
College campus has students from different courses so the environment is good and peaceful which is one of the best features of the college and one of the worst features I would say is the road that leads to college as it needs repairing.
Do engage in college activities as it will help in improving the overall personality of a student and do participate in debates or any other events. Apart from studies do make some good friends at the campus so your time at college will be worth remembering once you leave the college.
Ims jammu has well furnished infrastructure, a big classrooms and my personal opinion I broke my college green board by mistake and at the very next day college refurnished that board. Ims jammu also have a cafeteria where all the students of Ims whether they are from BBA or BCA interact with each other. Projectors, smart classes, having separate libraries for MBA/BBA and MCA/BCA .
I am in my last semester of BCA pursuing my graduation from IMS . The teachers are very helpful and cooperative. The whole faculty supports and motivate students for their growth in academics as well as in extra co-curricular activities. If you really want to excel in IT sector, focused on practicality rather than theories.
In terms of placement our college is improving year by year. In the last year there were not as many companies hiring or coming for placement where as this year companies are hiring the students, but they need to improve the placements for the future of students.
At the begining, I didn't want to spend my father's money for this college but slowly I realise that its worth it for my career. More than expected.
My college is located at the village area not so much impressive but quite good. My college has football and cricket ground at same place. My college also have a volleyball ground. After one Km local bus services are also available and college also have their own buses for different routes of Jammu.
If you want to enjoy the college life and also want to study go for it. And company matters.
Infrastruce is not good it is well below average. The campus is too small . Students have to go to jammu commerce college to give exams due to lack of facilities here so you can imagine the condition. Classrooms are not in hyginic condition . Library is avalible and so is canteen.
IMS has a good faculty overall teachers are hard working and friendly they are easily approachable for doubt clearing. But most of them are not ph.d holders. They try thier best to help students in every way possible. Overall faculty is good but not best in any way.
IMS jammu has signed MOU with internshala to provide specialized training to students so that they can learn new skills. College also organizes various industrial visits to enhance the practical training. Summer training is also provided. But placements are not good they are average and you can say that they are merely there so if u are looking for good placements u might look for some other college.
Several seminars, guest lectures , panel discussion are organised such as emerging trends in IT and much more.
