Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati is an elite constituent college that offers high-quality pharmaceutical education to women. For admission to B.Pharma, the admissions are made on the basis of EAMCET (Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test) ranking. The admissions are made in a 20:20 ratio between students belonging to Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry (M.P.C.) and Biology, Physics, Chemistry (Bi.P.C.). Four seats are also reserved for students with D.Pharm qualifications, who are directly admitted to the second year of B.Pharmacy on the basis of their ECET (Engineering Common Entrance Test) rank.

Application Process
The admission process to the Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati is different for different programs:
For B.Pharma:
1. Take the EAMCET test.
2. Pass with a valid EAMCET rank.
3. Attend the counseling process according to the EAMCET rank.
4. For D.Pharm degree holders, take ECET and get a rank for direct entry to the second year.
For M.Pharma courses:
1. Pass B.Pharma with a minimum of 50% marks.
2. Take admission in the preferred M.Pharma specialization using the application process of the university.
3. Provide all documents, such as B.Pharma degree certificate and mark sheets.
4. Attend any other entrance exams or interviews as prescribed by the institute.
Degree wise Admission Process
B.Pharma: The B.Pharma course at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology takes in 40 seats. Admission is through EAMCET ranking, and seats are divided equally between M.P.C. and Bi.P.C. students. Four more seats are given to D.Pharm qualified students on ECET ranking, who are admitted directly to the second year.
M.Pharma: The institute takes in five specializations in M.Pharma with definite admission procedures:
1. M.Pharma Pharmaceutical Chemistry (15 seats)
2. M.Pharma Pharmacology (15 seats)
3. M.Pharma Pharmaceutics (15 seats)
4. M.Pharma Pharmaceutical Analysis (15 seats)
5. M.Pharma Pharmacognosy (6 seats)
For all M.Pharma programs, graduates of B.Pharma are required to have at least a 50% mark.
