Application Process

The procedure to apply to Jeevan Vikas Mahavidyalaya, Nagpur is as follows:

1. Application form may be obtained from the college admission office or downloaded from the official website of the college.

2. Fill up the application form with all the correct personal and academic details. All columns must be filled up.

3. Documents required:

• 10th and 12th standard mark sheets and certificates
• Transfer certificate from the previous institution
• Character certificate
• Recent passport-size photographs

4. Fill up your application form after ensuring that your name is marked and send them with all essential documents to college admission office for time to meet the deadline;

5. Submit your application with a fee settled by the respective colleges, which fee will be either printed on an application form itself or on websites of colleges too.

6. Undergraduate programmes are mostly delivered through the merit list prepared in accordance with the 12th standard marks. The student is called for counselling or document verification process.

7. For postgraduate programmes, college may conduct interview or any additional parameter with regard to undergraduate marks. Candidates must prepare for any other selection process which might be announced by the college.

Degree wise Admission Process

BA, B.Com, B.Sc: Each of these undergraduate courses has 120 seats. Admission is based on the 12th standard results of the candidate. The college considers both the overall marks and subject-wise marks that are relevant to the program being opted for.

MA (Marathi, English, Economics, Political Science): 80 seats in each MA program. Undergraduate degree or equivalent in any subject and appropriate field. Admission: Admission is on the basis of the performance of undergraduate degree.

M.Sc (Microbiology, Chemistry, Mathematics): Sciences postgraduate courses with a strength of 22 seats per course. Admission will be open to candidates who have a Bachelor's degree in the concerned science discipline or in any other discipline allied to the same. The Marks and subject competency of the candidate may also be taken into account while making the selections.

B.Voc: Building Technology, Food Processing and Engineering, Software Development, Automotive - 50 seats in each course. The entry requirement is a pass in the 12th standard. Priority will be given to students who have an academic background or aptitude in the field they wish to pursue.
