Kamakshi Institute of Nursing, kangra Admission Process

Kamakshi Institute of Nursing, Kangra is a nursing institute providing admissions to aspiring students. The institute is located at Vill. Basa Wazira, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. As an institute, it follows a standardized admission procedure for aspirant nursing students. Kamakshi Institute of Nursing is affiliated to the Kurukshetra University and is approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC). The institute conducts three full-time courses in nursing namely, B. Sc Nursing, GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) and Post Basic B. Sc Nursing. The total intake of students in all the courses is 156. The intake in B. Sc Nursing is 40 and in GNM is 40. The intake in Post Basic B. Sc Nursing is 25. The admissions are made to select dedicted and efficient students for these nursing courses.

Eligibility Criteria for Kamakshi Institute of Nursing Nursing courses generally follows the INC norms. For B. Sc Nursing & GNM courses candidate must have passed 10+2 with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) from a recognized board. For Post Basic B. Degree wise Admission Process

B. Sc Nursing The B. Sc Nursing course at Kamakshi Institute of Nursing has a intake capacity of 40 seats. The candidate will be selected for the four year course based on his/her performance in the qualifying examination (10+2 with science subjects) and / or an entrance examination, if any. The course prepares the student for a career in nursing with a sound background in medical sciences and practical nursing skills.

GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery): There are 40 seats for the GNM course as well. This is a three-year diploma course for students interested in a career in nursing. The candidate’s 10+2 results in science subjects would most likely be taken into account for admission, along with an entrance test or interview.

Post Basic B. Sc Nursing (25 seats): This is a two year programme for registered nurses who have passed their GNM course and wish to upgrade their qualification to B. Sc level. Entry requirements are usually the candidate’s GNM results and maybe an entrance examination or interview.
