24 MonthsBachelor of Education (B.Ed) is a two-year full-time undergraduate course approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and offered by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates having passed Bachelor's degree in Humanities, Commerce, and Science with a minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University and having studied one of the subjects as given below:
At Graduate Level: English, Hindi, Integrated Science, Social Science, Mathematics.
At Post Graduate Level: English, Hindi, Mathematics, Life Science, Political Science, Geography, History, Economics, Accountancy, Business Studies.
For B.A. (H.)/B.Sc. (H) students with 50% marks in aggregate are required in their main exam (excluding the qualifying/subjects) and 45% in the subsidiary are mandatory. The BA (JMC) students shall not be given Commerce/Business Studies/Accountancy as teaching subjects as these subjects are not taught at the elementary and secondary level in schools.
Admission Details
The admissions are carried out strictly on a merit basis through a Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by GGSIP University. The University conducts central counseling for all the colleges affiliated with it. Students are required to choose the college/institute during the counseling as per rank.
