Have a question related to KIT Kanpur ?

When choosing between MIET (Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology), Meerut, and KIT (Kanpur Institute of Technology), Kanpur, for a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), several factors should be considered to determine which college might be the better fit for you.

MIET, Meerut:

  • Reputation: MIET is one of the more established institutions in the region, known for its consistent academic performance and focus on engineering disciplines.
  • Infrastructure: The college has a well-equipped infrastructure with modern labs, libraries, and other facilities crucial for CSE students.
  • Placement: MIET has a good placement record, particularly for CSE, with companies like Infosys, TCS, and Wipro visiting the campus regularly.
  • Faculty: The faculty is experienced, with many holding advanced degrees and having industry experience.

KIT, Kanpur:

  • Reputation: KIT has been gaining recognition for its engineering programs and is known for its discipline and academic rigor.
  • Infrastructure: KIT also offers excellent infrastructure, with state-of-the-art labs, a comprehensive library, and good hostel facilities.
  • Placement: KIT has been improving its placement statistics, with companies like HCL, Capgemini, and Tech Mahindra recruiting students.
  • Faculty: The faculty at KIT is qualified, with a strong focus on research and innovation in the CSE field.

Conclusion:

Both colleges have their strengths, but if you're looking for a more established name with a solid track record in placements, MIET, Meerut, might be a better choice. However, KIT, Kanpur, is also a strong contender, especially if you're looking for an institution that is growing rapidly and placing an increasing emphasis on industry connections and practical learning.

Your decision might also depend on other factors like location preference, campus environment, and personal priorities. Visiting both campuses and speaking with current students or alumni could further help in making an informed choice.

hope this helps you!!

Out of the three options that you chose, Saaii College of Medical Sciences and Technology and Sai paramedical College Dehradun both has all the desired facilities, good faculties and good infrastructure of these two campuses are commendable.

However Kanpur Institute is also good but the campus life there is somewhat strict. If you think of labs, microbiology labs are well equipped and well maintained.

Good luck!!

Dear Aspirant,

IIMT Noida:-

Placements: Placements are quite good in the college. Some companies, such as Wipro, Cognizant, etc., always hire 30-40 students at an average package of 4-6 LPA. Most of the students got placed easily because the college focuses on training and internships. The college provides 4-5 internships after the 7th semester.

Infrastructure: The campus is not huge but decent. There are two hostel buildings separately for boys and girls. The hostel is good compared to the hostels nearby. The college hostel mess is good, neat and clean, and the food is good. There are 3-4 varieties of food items every day.

Faculty: There is one thing appreciable, i.e., faculty. The faculty members are very good. Most of the faculty members came from nearby colleges, so they know the level of our college and competition, and they teach really well.

KIT Kanpur:-

Placements: Many students got placed from the college, and placements depend on your skills. However, the college provides better placements. The lowest salary package offered is 1.5 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. The highest salary package offered in the year 2020 is 10 LPA, and it was offered by Capgemini. Companies like Amazon, Wipro, TCS, Capgemini, Doubtnut and many companies visit our campus for placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is small, but the design is good. The college provides Wi-Fi facility only for hostellers and faculty members. The hostel fee is Rs. 60,000 per year. If you want to eat in the hostel, you can eat by paying just Rs. 45 daily. Sports and games of our college are very good, and all fields for games are available.

Faculty: The college provides B. Tech, M.Tech, diploma, pharmacy and B.Sc. Faculty members of the college are good, but some of them are very bad. However, the teachers are qualified PhD or M.Tech, or any other master degree. The college does not work to make students industry-ready as it only provides bookish knowledge and doesn't provide a chance to improve your extra skills.

JSS Noida:-

Placements: About 90% of the computer science and engineering branch students get placed every year. The highest salary package was offered to a student named Mitanshi Agarwal, which was 40 LPA in Adobe. The average salary package offered is around 4 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is about 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies here are Adobe, Amazon, Kronos, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Extramarks and many more. About 60% of the students get internships from the CSE branch in companies like Kronos, TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Extramarks. Generally, students get SDE 1 engineer roles in companies.

Infrastructure: JSS is spread over an area of 28 acres, which is enough. There are academic blocks named AB1, AB2, AB3, AB4 and AB5. There is a computer lab, which is equipped with air-conditioners. Wi-Fi is good with high-speed internet, but there are restrictions on sites. Classrooms are huge and well furnished. The library is huge and has all types of necessary books. The hostel has an accommodation capacity of 700 students. The mess is good, and the quality of food served is good. South culture is followed in our mess. The canteen is good and huge, and many food items are available there. Medical facilities are average. Sports and games culture is good, and staff members are enthusiastic and motivate students to play at an interschool level competition.

Faculty: Teachers here are helpful and always motivate students. Most of the teachers are well qualified and are PhD holders. They always help to tackle students problems in life or academics. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant to the industry exposure, but some things need to be changed to make students industry-ready better early in college. Semester exams are moderate. The passing percentage is 30% in the individual subject in theory and practical separately.
