I would rate academics 4 upon 5 as ours is Osmania UNIVERSITY (OU) affiliated college, the curriculum is some what tough and the pass percentage is a bit low than other autonomous institutions. But we do have other special schooling system such as Project School, Foundation School, Finishing School and newly introduced Imaginary School which play a keen role in a software engineers career. The OU curriculum is not updated as per the current trends which is not in the hands of college.
There are no difference between BE & BTech course in terms of academics as well as the package offered. So if you wish to go for the course of CSE, then you can go for any of the degree program of BE or BTech. It won't matter which degree program you go for, at the end of the day, BE or BTech CSE are essentially the same.
