Yashodhadevi Gangadhar Kulgude College of Education, Athani; it was started in the year 2005 for the teacher education society of KLE. This affiliated college is present in the Athani, Karnataka and is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) as well by offering quality education in teaching field. Stretched over an area of 4.19 acres, the college provide an appropriate educational climate. The total number of students enrolled to the institute is 181, while the number of faculty is 16 and therefore the ratio of students to faculty is reasonable and healthy to enhance on the institutions goal of providing individual counseling.

Other facilities are a cafeteria, a theatre for both events and seminars, sports and games facilities, a Gymnasium and a Health Centre with a First Aid section. The college also provides-associated well-equipped classroom and departmental laboratory for practical studies abilities.

The Institute currently teaches only one full time course, the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program under which it has been approved to admit 100 students. This program of study takes two years to complete and has been specifically developed to enable students to become competent teachers.
