Kovai Kalaimagal College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Kovai Kalaimagal College of Arts and Science (KKCAS) is an independent institution in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, which provides a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across a wide spectrum of subjects. Admission to KKCAS is based on merit. All candidates are treated equally during the admission procedure.

As a matter of tradition, this initiates admission processes in KKCAS every year after the results of the 12th standard examinations are declared, and this is usually in May- June for the year to come in August-September.:UIControlStateNormal Any candidate passing the state board 10+2 examination or its equivalent is eligible for admission into undergraduate courses. Admission to other UG programs is based only on marks obtained in the 12th level. A prospective candidate shall hold a valid Bachelor's Degree in the subject for which they seek admission into postgraduate programs recognized by some university.

Application Process

The steps for making the application within the Kovai Kalaimagal College of Arts and Science is such that:

1. Navigate through the official KKCAS website to admissions.

2. Download the form and/or opt for filling it online according to the latest announcement from the college.

3. Proceed to filling in all necessary bits with right and adequate particulars such as personal details, qualification and program preference by the student

4. Attach all relevant scanned copies which would normally include mark lists of 

• 10th and 12th standards
• Transfer certificate
• Community certificate (if applicable)
• Passport-size photographs

5. Pay the required application fee according to the date mentioned by the College notice. The amount of fee is likely to differ between the programs.

6. Submit a duly filled application form along with all required documents within the deadline.

7. The admissions unit shall thereafter check the applications and prepare a merit list based on academic backgrounds. 

8. Shortlisted candidates shall receive a calling letter for counseling or an interview depending on the program and availability of slots.

9. The receiving of admission offer letters for an individual applicant provides all the information concerning fee payment and the timing of the reporting.

10. Selected candidates have to remit the fee and submit all original documents with them for verification once the deadline comes up.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Com and B.Com in Computer Applications are popular undergraduate programs at KKCAS with an intake capacity of 120 each. Admission may grant the applicant admission on the basis of the aggregate obtained in the 12th standard examination which emphasizes commerce and mathematics.

B.Sc Computer Science and BCA: These are the programs focusing on computer science and applications to the maximum extent. The B.Sc program has an intake of 120, while in the BCA program, this is only 60. 

BBA Computer Applications: This program integrates business administration with computer applications and has 50 seats available. Final admission is strictly on the basis of marks in commerce and computer science backgrounds, respectively from the two years of 12th standards.

M.Com International Business: This postgraduate program is targeted towards aspirants who want to be specialists in international business. The program consists of 50 seats into which students would want admission in terms of their background in commerce or related fields. 

M.Sc Programs: M.Sc Information Technology and Computer Science are two M.Sc. programs offered by KKCAS which have an intake of 30-40 students. The admission for the M.Sc. program will be determined on the basis of the candidate's performance at the bachelor's level in the respective subjects.

M.Phil and Ph.D. Programs: The College offers Ph. D programs in Research in Computer Science and Research in Commerce. Admission into the research programs involves taking an entrance test and interview and then beginning with the programs.
