KPS Institute of Polytechnic, Hooghly: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

KPS Institute of Polytechnic, Hooghly was established in the year 2015 and has grown as one of the vital technical institutions in Dhaniakhali, West Bengal. This affiliated college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, and offers various diploma courses in engineering disciplines. This institute is situated on a sprawling 10-acre campus. The student enrolment of the institute is 466, while the faculty strength stands at 39. KPS Institute of Polytechnic is committed to providing quality technical education through five diploma courses across various engineering specializations.

The institute boasts ultra-modern facilities that help leverage a very enriching learning experience among its students. In the campus, well-equipped laboratories exist for each branch of engineering to enable the students to obtain practical experience in the concerned topic and complement their theoretical classes. The modern computer laboratory, equipped with high-speed processors and the latest software, provides state-of-the-art facilities for meeting the IT requirements of students. The library, the heart of the institution, is rich with the collection, text books, periodicals, and digital resources, backed up by a conducive environment for the academic pursuits. The institute has a separate hostel for boys and another for girls, with regular visits by doctors to ensure the perfect health and well-being of all boarders. 

KPS Institute of Polytechnic runs a total of five full-time diploma courses in engineering. These include Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Computer Science and Technology. The total sanctioned intake of the institute is 240 in its various courses, out of which 60 each are for Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil Engineering, and 30 each for Electronics and Tele-communication Engineering and Computer Science and Technology. All programs are three-year full-time courses.                                                                           

The admission to all the courses offered by KPS Institute of Polytechnic is fair and open merit based. The admission process into this institute is via a quota system: 75% of the total seats are allotted through counselings, while the rest, 25%, come from the management quota.
