Kulpi Government Primary Teachers Training Institute is an independent institute and is situated in South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, whose primary aim is to produce future primary school teachers. This is a secular co-educational school that was founded in 2015 and has grown rather quickly to be an important contributor to the education field of the region. The institute is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and follows a unique course structure intended to produce active and efficient primary teachers.

Kulpi Government Primary Teachers Training Institute has the following infrastructural facilities for the effective education of its learners. At present, Kulpi Government Primary Teachers Training Institute offers one primary course, the Diploma in Elementary Education i.e D.El.Ed. This is a two-year full programme that aims at preparing its students for the requirements of being effective primary school teachers. The institute has total intake capacity of 100 students and out of them 50 seats are available for D.El.Ed. Known for having a core faculty of 9 committed educators, it is well aware of the student to teacher ratio requirements so that a student training a teacher candidate can get focused and tangible support.

Kulpi Government Primary Teachers Training Institute offers admission based on a student’s performance as a result of embracing a policy that admits the most promising future teachers. They are selected according to marks scored in the qualifying or the entrance test in accordance with rules and regulation of state government of West Bengal. This mechanism also guarantees that the students that make it to the programme are not only willing but capable of upholding high standards of primary education in the region as well.
