    Good .

    College Infrastructure

The college offer good facilities and equipment but some time they are not well Maintained. For instance one of the apparatus is not working when we are in fresh year but now it has been replaced. College premises is clean and well maintained.

    Academics

The overall studying is quite nice also the teaching faculty is also good. But the Teaching techniques they used are more like school . Yeah some teachers provide some good presentation and vedios gir better understanding.

    Placements

There is no placement cell in this college . And also there is no batch of b.sc food tech which is graduated as it a new course in this college But earlier batch of btech got 100% replacement. The faculty is very helping they helped in internship.

    Value for Money

For the food technology it cost 30,000 per year. Yeah it is quite expensive than other du colleges . But the college has its reputation. Also the it is placed in center of the Delhi. Overall college life is very good.

    Campus Life

The college is located in central of the Delhi . The area is quite safe as the police is always nearby . The cp is just two steps away. The Janpath market , pallika all the shopping destination are there.

    College Infrastructure

Lady Irwin has a very good Infrastructure, library, and Wifi connectivity. The Laboratories are well equipped. Teachers, as well as the Lab. assistance Staff, is very helpful and highly-qualified. The canteen is okay. The Classrooms are decent like they don't have Air conditioners but it is clean and nice. There are different co-curriculum societies in our college i.e. Sports Society, Dance Society, Arts Society, and many more, It helps in developing personality and skills.

    Academics

I am doing my Graduation in Food Technology because I was interested in knowing the process behind the production of a food product. Teachers here in Lady Irwin college are highly qualified and experienced. Yes, I think the curriculum is updated and we are studying the latest processing techniques. No not the subjects I am studying right now makes me Job-ready because Food Inductry requires lot of experience so doing some internships and maybe MSc would be a nice option.

    Placements

There is no placement cell in our college as such but the college authority helps us in reaching different industries. About 60% of the students were placed in different industries like Nescafe, ParleG, Pepsi, etc. The highest package offered in 2-3 lakhs for Food Technology Graduates. I am in my 2nd year of college so I don't know the exact process of placements but Yes, The college is very supportive. The teachers approaches helps us in getting Internships as they have high contacts.

    Value for Money

Rs.29245 was our first-year total fees (2018-19) in which examinations fees are included. Yes, The money's worth it is because the college provides all the facilities. If we compare it will Private colleges, there per year fees are in lakhs excluding other co-curriculum activities. But in our college, We are getting all the facilities in less fees ( all the money spend on equipment or products that we use in our labs are already in our Total yearly fees ).

    Campus Life

Our campus is quite big. Our campus is surrounded by nature so it feels very nice. Our college is just 5 minutes away from the nearest Metro and bus station i.e. Mandi House (Blue line). The crowd of the college is very chill and supportive. The teachers are also very friendly and understanding. Our college is located in Central Delhi and the area is very safe and hygienic. Yes, the college can handle medical emergencies. The only worst part about our college is that canteen is not very nice.

    Others

There are various societies that one can join to embrace their skills and personality. Our college organizes various seminars and activities that are beneficial to us. The famous Shri Ram Centre of Arts is just 5 minutes away from our college. There are so many eating joints new our campuses such as Torrent Van, Triveni Terrace Cafe, and many more. Connaught Place is just 10 minutes metro ride away from our college. The Annual Fests of all our college is also very famous.

Placement Cell needs to be introduced.

    College Infrastructure

The buildings are old red bricks structures which adds to the beauty. Classrooms have old furniture except the resource management and communication department which are newly constructed. The library is amazing for anything you want to search. Labs are well maintained. Washrooms are not very clean usually but tidy enough to use. Food at the canteen is good to eat but not very amazing or value for money. The infrastructure being old, equipments in labs are always up to date.

    Academics

Curriculum is not updated. The quality if teaching is good but it does not makes one job ready. This being the premier institution in Asia for home science does not have a placement cell. Also they teach alot of things which are not inter related, not connecting to one main area leaving the students with, knowing very small and basic parts of every field which is nowhere useful. The curriculum needs to be updated. If one manages to be in top 25 and get Food And Nutrition in 3rd year it's good.

    Placements

No Placement Cell except the B.ed department. Students have to struggle themselves outside to find something. It is difficult to predict the salaries because there are very few students who are able to find jobs outside. Most of them go for higher studies.

    Value for Money

It is between 24 to 28 thousand per year which is pretty affordable compared to private colleges. The money's worth the tag of name of college and the education provided.

    Campus Life

Campus life is great. There are alot of seminars and workshops happening every other day. Socities keep you engaged in various events as well. Location being central delhi, everything is easily accessible. The annual festival is considered among top DU fests with loads of opportunities. Teachers are very humble and communicate about various opportunities very often.

    Others

The college life is great. People think girls college is boring but here you enhance your personality. You develop bonds and learn to work as a team.

My overall experience till date was absolutely amazing.

    College Infrastructure

College have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment to help students in academics. College is enabled with high speed Wi-Fi which is free of cost for all the students. Library has all the necessary books and supporting staff.

    Academics

All the teachers teaches very sincerely, and will clarify every subject related as well as career related doubt. Laptops are also issued for academic purpose for every student. And the curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field.

    Placements

I am not very sure about placements as I am a second year student and I haven't faced any situation like that but teachers are very supportive in finding and arrange appropriate internship for all the students.

    Value for Money

Yes, Once you get you will feel that you are getting your money's worth in terms of academics, personal and social growth.

    Campus Life

Campus life is cool and full of adventures and varied feelings.

    Others

    Lady Irwin review

    College Infrastructure

Very good college infrastructure, well equipped laboratories to conduct practicals, library also consist of air conditioned Durga devalkar reading room, 2 lawns, a tennis lawn, a basketball court. Girls hostel is also available within the college campus. Free wifi at some areas of the college. RAK child study centre is also situated within the college campus. Classrooms equipped with projectors. The cleanliness and security of the college is well looked after.

    Academics

I'm studying bsc Home science honours at the college. I studied the subject in class 12 and developed interest in it. Hence I chose this college as it is the best in the country for this course. The quality of teaching is really good according to me. Technical aids such as projectors, ppts are used to teach to the students. The curriculum of the course is updated according to recent findings and developments in the field. Yes, the field I'm going to specialize in will make me job ready.

    Placements

Our college provides very limited placement opportunities which mainly include the placement from resource management department and department of communication extension. The students from food and nutrition department and human development and childhood studies needs higher level of education to go for a job search. Food and nutrition department basically nurtures budding dietician and nutritionist.

    Value for Money

By paying 25000/year, i think that my college provides full worth for my money. I know it's more than most of the courses offered in DU but our course comprises mainly of practicals which require equipment and other important needs.

    Campus Life

The campus life is very happening. We have opportunities to engage in many societies of the college. Many events happen in college throughout the year, be it shooting for a movie, alumnae meets, college fest which is a 2 day fest, kalam series, C4MH program etc. Location of the college is in the heart of the delhi. Himachal bhawan, Cannought place, Shri Ram ram, Bengali market are some places to visit and are in close proximity to the college. The teachers and students share a very good bonding.

    Others

I am in the college for 2 years now and have been enjoying my college life very well. Be it the time of college fest or any other normal day. The teachers here are so understanding about any situation and promote and motivates us to explore things around college.
