Late Bali Ram Kashyap Memorial Government Medical College, Jagdalpur, a revered body of medical learning, is a self-reputed medical institution located in Chhattisgarh. The admittance procedure employed by the college is very stringent in getting the most deserving candidates into its fold among the medical programs. The institute also holds recognition from the National Medical Commission (NMC) and provides graduate and postgraduate courses in medicine. The admission procedure for Late Bali Ram Kashyap Memorial Government Medical College is done mainly through a national-level competitive examination. For the undergraduate programs like MBBS, admission is done via National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG).   3. Register for the All India Quota counseling conducted by MCC for 50% AIQ seats.
  4. For state quota seats, register for the counseling conducted by DME Chhattisgarh.
  5. Participate in the choice filling process during counseling rounds.

Degree wise Admission Process

MBBS: The college offers 125 seats for its MBBS program. Admissions are conducted through two quotas:

  1. All India Quota: Candidates must qualify in the All India Pre-Medical Entrance Examination (NEET-UG) conducted by CBSE. Counseling is done by the Directorate General of Health Services.
  2. State Quota: Candidates must qualify in NEET-UG. Online counseling is conducted by the Director Medical Education (DME) of Chhattisgarh.

MD Community Medicine: This postgraduate course has an intake of 5 seats. Admissions are based on NEET-PG scores, followed by a counseling process.

MD Dermatology Venereology and Leprosy: The college offers 5 seats for this specialization. Candidates are selected through NEET-PG, followed by counseling.

MD Forensic Medicine: With an intake of 3 seats, this course also follows the NEET-PG based admission process.

MS Ophthalmology: The college has 2 seats for this surgical specialty. Admissions are conducted through NEET-PG scores and subsequent counseling.

Required documents for admission generally include:

  • NEET score card, 
  • 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates, 
  • MBBS degree certificate and mark sheets (for PG courses), 
  • valid ID proof, domicile certificate (for state quota), 
  • category certificate (if applicable),
