Lord Shiva College of Pharmacy, Sirsa Admission Process

The institution of Lord Shiva College of Pharmacy at Sirsa, Haryana, India, and is the foremost institution for imparting pharmaceutical education. The college affiliated to Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, has adopted a merit-based system of admission for the different pharmacy programs.  The process of admitting students to Lord Shiva College of Pharmacy has been designed to select deserving students for the undergraduate, postgraduate, and Diploma program. The college offers B.Pharma, M.Pharma (Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry), D.Pharma, and a Diploma in Medical Lab Technology among others. The eligibility criteria vary from program to program. For B.Pharma, candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics. For M.Pharma degrees, a B.Pharma degree from any recognized university is required. Eligibility for D.Pharma and Diploma is as per 10+2 qualifications. 

Application Process

The application procedure will comprise the following steps at the Lord Shiva College of Pharmacy, Sirsa:

1. Visit the official college website or contact the admission office to obtain the application form and admission brochure.

2. Complete the application form by entering appropriate information regarding personal and academic data. Ensure that all relevant fields are completed.

3. Attach all required documents such as:

  • Passport size photographs.
  • Marksheets of the qualifying examination (10th, 12th, or graduation as applicable).
  • Character certificate from the last attended institution.
  • Category certificate (if applying under any reserved category).
  • Domicile certificate (if applicable).

4. Duly filled application forms together with the requisite documents should be submitted to the college admission office on or before the due date.

5. Application fees should be submitted in accordance with the particulars prescribed by the college, the fee particulars, and methods of payment being given in the admission brochure.

6. With the submissions of applications, the college will process the applications and prepare a merit list according to criteria for each program.

7. Candidates shall be shortlisted for counseling or direct admissions depending upon the program and vacant seats.

8. Upon admission counseling, candidates have to validate all the original documents required and to pay admission fees, thereby securing their seat.

9. Once admitted, the students have to go through the enrollment process which includes submitting any additional documents required by the college or university.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Pharma: B.Pharma program in Lord Shiva College of Pharmacy receives an intake of 60 seats upon merit in the qualifying examination [10+2 with PCB/PCM]. The college also recognizes 6 seats for B.Pharma Lateral Entry, where diploma holders can enter directly into the second year of the program.

M.Pharma: Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry are the two specializations offered by the college for M.Pharma, each comprising 9 seats. Admission is primarily based on the candidate's performance in B.Pharma degree, as well as any entrance exam procedure dictated by the affiliating university.

D.Pharma: The intake for this Diploma program is for 60 students and admissions are based on merit in 10+2 examination with the required subjects.

Diploma in Medical Lab Technology (DMLT): This program has the largest intake of 120 seats. Candidates' admission is determined by their results from the qualifying examination. A DMLT Lateral entry has around 24 seats.

Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology: 30 seats are available on merit for the qualifying exam in this program.
