The placement totally depends upon your skills and knowledge about your field. Even if in your college all the high package offering companies visit but don't have any skill which can get you in that company then of course it's a waste. But yes if we talk about about the placement of MITS gwalior then most of the companies are of IT sector and only few are core companies. So maximum students are recruited to IT companies and only few are recruited to core ones.

The placements of B. Tech, in Electricals Engineering in Madhav Institute of Technology and Science, Gwalior are average. Last year only 55-60% students were placed with an average package of 3-4 lacs per annum and the highest package offered was around 6 lacs per annum.

1. CSE in IPS Academy Indore
2. EC in Madhav Institute of Technology and Science
3. EC in Jabalpur engineering college
4. EC in UIT-RGPV

The preference order is baised in the rating of the branch of the collage, placement of the College and infrastructure.

see  the cutoff score change every year and admission to lateral entry students in btech course is done by lateral entry test and diploma score . however every year cutoff score changes and it depends on certain factors like number of applicants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix,students category, choice of streams etc. however if your diploma course aggregate in more than 90 percentage you have decent chances. I suggest you to apply and participate in the counselling process and lets see whats come around.

I don't think you are going to get any benefit of OBC quota if you are not eligible for the home quota. Also, your percentile seems quite low. So there might be a very very low change or none at all.

Admission at MITS gwalior is done on the basis of jee mains exam through DTE MP councelling.

Jee Mains examination as per the latest news is scheduled from 1-6 September after which results will be declared followed by councelling.

Going by the formula 100-58*869010/100 where 58 is your percentile and 869010 is the number of candidates appeared for the Jee mains examination in january session.Your All  India rank Would be 364984 approximately.You haven't mentioned your category as well as your home state.With this rank ,if you belong to general category,as per the previous year scenario,you cannot get seat in MITS gwalior.You may have to appear for july session.To check the probabilities of colleges,You can use our college predictor.The link is mentioned below:

As per the past year cutoff variations it  was clear that there was good change in closing rank it was turned from 4 lakh to 1 lakh for a specific branch (for example ) so in 2019 analysis Maximum closing rank went about 3 lakh for BE electrical Engineering now with this record there are good chances of variations so you have less chances of admission in MITS, Gwalior because maximum closing rank 4 lakh went in 2018 for automobile engineering and it turns to approx 1 lakh in 2019 so chances are high that it will turn to be more lesser this year .
