Madras Christian College, Chennai admissions 2025 are open.
MCC held a Annual General Body Meeting of the Madras Christian College Alumni Association on Nov 15, 2024.
The College itself a good place to learn and develop good extra curricular skill yeah the College has all the necessary equipment, facilities, laboratories, classrooms, libraries, sports center, and they have started to build a inovation park which can be also utilized
The college ranks top 3rd in the UGC ranking and has many workshops and other facilities to develop good qualities and learn more the College has a library in which is the biggest library of tambaram where you can learn core subjects and other non subject oriented things also
The placement should be increase there is good separate procedure and set of staffs for placements bt there should be more student's for placement and each department have a track on the placement this helps the students to get active placement cells
The quality of teaching and the opportunity created by the management is worth it
The campus is unique with large amount of flora and the trees itself act as a natural canopy
The College gives an excellent exposure to all students by having a students body for everything
The college infrastructure is good is but the college currently doesn't have many facilities such as an auditorium.. being one of the leading institution in India.... it doesn't have an auditorium....
I studied b.com and the quality of teaching was splendid... no doubts about it.. yes.! they are up to date and the study does make me job ready.. the staffs are one of the best you can find.. knowledge gained
The quality of placements are brilliant... Where even Google comes for recruitment sometimes and the other companies who approach are also the leading firms.. the average salary offered is around 4-5lakhs p.a
Being in aided stream my course was cost efficient.. the whole course of 3 years was covered with 30k INR
Not just me.. nor the students of MCC but also the people who haven't studied in MCC would agree that MCC is the best campus one can ever see... It is simply heaven on Earth..
The college has a good infrastructure of the old French style. There is a good facility for rest room, students centre, libraries, laboratories and the classrooms is also likely impressive. The hostels called here as halls are also constructed well.
I'm studying BBA because my ambition is to become a business man. The teaching is so good with qualified professors. The subjects as well as our professors are very much updated and they give more than teaching to help us track our heading towards getting a job.
The college has interviews of many companies and more numbers of students have been selected. I don't know the exact number of students placed from the college but about 15 students were placed only from my department.
My course (BBA) costs about Rs. 70,000 a year which is divided into two semesters where we pay about Rs. 50,000 in the first semester and Rs. 20,000 in the second semester. I feel that the fee I pay usd worth the teaching because of quality of education we get.
Our college is one of the oldest college in whole India. The infrastructure here are quite old but the facilities provided here are really good. We have a tally lab which is really good. We also have library in our college but people don't usually go there. Then we have different grounds for different sports but in our college sports isn't encouraged at all. We have 6 halls in out college. They serve really good food here in the hall. MCC has a really big campus and they maintain it really well.
I am currently pursuing BBA from this college. I don't think our college gives a good education to students. Most of the professors just come to college dictate same line from the book and go without explaining. The professors here are really partial towards some of the people. They stop you from enjoying and living your college life. The curriculum taught here is not really updated. Even when we have our CA's (test), they reapt the same old question again and again.
Placement in our college is really good. I've seen my seniors getting placed in big multinational companies including Sutherland, Big bazar etc. Most of the students get placed from our college. This year the highest salary package offered in BBA department was around ₹55,000/month. People in our department get placed usually in financial field. The placement here is quite easy as I've seen most of the people getting placed easily. Our college is really supportive in terms of placement.
The courses offered here are really cheap as compared to other colleges. I feel that its worth studying here in MCC. If you go to other college they charge you around 80k for 1st semester itself. In our college they charge you only 40k for 1st semester and 20k for second semester. I've only paid for 2 semesters so I really don't know much about the fee for other semesters but I've heard that they are around 20k. And 20k for a semesters is no big deal for pursing BBA from a reputed college.
If you are a sports person then would appreciate you to join some other college. In MCC you there's scope only for few activities like acting, film making etc. Professors here in this college are not supportive at all. They discourage students from taking part in the activities as they believe it affects our academic. Students take their own risk to take part in activities. We have most of the event here in the campus and yes it's safe and it can handle emergencies.
One thing I forgot to tell you guys is about the Hall traditions. They are really pathetic. 1st years who join Hall are treated like slaves. They are also forced to do things even if they don't like. There are seniors who ask them to buy alcohol from shops, they are also forced to clean Hall toilets, they are forced to wear a dress code inside the Hall. If you plan to join MCC I would recommend you to rent a room outside or stay in a pg instead of staying in a Hall.
The college has a really vast infrastructure which has been sustained for almost a century. It has all the required facilities for an arts and science college. It is highly equipped with student centre, laboratories, with 6 hostels 3 each for boys and girls. It has special grounds for cricket, hockey, athletics and also an indoor basketball court. Living spaces in madras Christian college are highly efficient and it provides really hygienic food.
I am currently pursuing a bsc mathematics degree. I have opted for this topic as it provides a vast platform off opportunities for me in the private sector. The quality of teaching is really good in my college with highly qualified and skilled teachers. The curriculum of the college is upto date and also it has been provided 'a' grade by the NAARC rating of 2020. Yes the degree with i am pursuing makes me highly knowledgeable in various fields.
The quality of placement has been on a decent level where a student is bound to get a package of 1.5lakhs-2.5 lakhs. The placement rate of my college is 70%.The highest placement was secured by a student of Bachelor in business administration and the package valued upto 50k per month.
My course costs around 30,000 rupees per year which is an affordable amount. The money is totally worth to spend on the degree of this college.
It provides a very huge campus rated among the top 5 in chennai. Even though with such a large size of the college it still manages to keep the students united which is the best quality of this college. But the wrong part of the college people from outside tamilnadu face certain discrimination in the start of the college life. The staff is really supportive and help in all aspects of a students life. It is located in TAMBARAM which is counted to be one among the safest places in Chennai.
Greetings!
