MCPM is among the leading colleges in Andhra Pradesh for pharmaceutical education. The selection of eligible candidates to join in the college is based through various entrance examinations for a fair and impartial selection based on merit. The academic year usually starts between August and September, corresponding to the commencement of the admission cycle in MCPM. For undergraduate courses, admission into B.Pharma and Pharm.D is held through the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET). The examination for admission of postgraduates to the M.Pharma course is done through the Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET).
Candidates desiring admission to the B.Pharma or Pharm.D. programs must have completed their 10+2 education with core subjects comprising Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics. The eligibility criteria for admission may differ slightly but generally, a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination must be secured. A candidate willing to take M.Pharma admission should have completed their graduation in B.Pharma from any recognized university. The major entrance examination for undergraduate students is called AP EAMCET. Usually, it is held in May, and the results are announced in June. The AP PGECET for the master's programs is held approximately in May-June of every academic year.

Degree Wise Admission Process
B.Pharma: Admission in B.Pharma programs is made through AP EAMCET Rank and there are around 100 seats in the college for the 4-year undergraduate program. All those candidates eligible as per the AP EAMCET can apply for admission to this course.
M.Pharma: MCPM offers M.Pharma with specializations in Pharmaceutical Drug Regulatory Affairs, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutics, and Pharmacology. Each specialization has an approved intake of 19 seats and admission will be based on AP PGECET rank. Candidates having a B.Pharma degree can apply for these two years of postgraduate programs.
Pharm.D: Admission to Pharm.D. is based on AP EAMCET ranks in the same way as for B.Pharm. The number of seats approved for this program is 33. It is a six-year doctoral program providing advanced training in pharmacy practice and clinical pharmacy.
