MGPGI Pondicherry Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Mahatma Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Dental Sciences (MGPGI), Pondicherry, adopts a strict and merit-based admission procedure for its dental courses, this government-associated institute is accredited by the Dental Council of India (DCI) and provides both Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) courses.

Application Process

The application process for MGPGI Pondicherry is different for different programs:

For BDS program:

Degree wise Admission Process

BDS: The intake of the Bachelor of Dental Surgery course at MGPGI Pondicherry is approved for 110 students. Admission is through the candidate's NEET score. The course lasts for 5 years, and the candidate should have a 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects.

MDS Prosthodontics: It is a 3-year postgraduate course having an approved admission of 3 students. Candidates are admitted through NEET MDS ranks. A BDS degree from a recognized college is necessary.

MDS Oral Pathology and Microbiology: This is a 3-year course having an approved intake of 3 students. It admits candidates depending on their NEET MDS ranks. An application requires a BDS degree from a recognized university.

MDS Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery: This postgraduate 3-year course has also an admission capacity of 3 students. Entry is on the basis of NEET MDS, and students should be having a BDS degree.

MDS Periodontics: Yet another 3-year postgraduate course with admission capacity of 3 students. Admissions are on the basis of NEET MDS, and students need to have a BDS degree.

MDS Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics: This 3-year program takes in 3 students through NEET MDS performance. The applicants should have finished BDS degree.

MDS Oral Medicine and Radiology: With an approved intake of 2 students, this 3-year program takes in students through NEET MDS. A BDS degree is required for application.

MDS Paedodontics: This 3-year postgraduate course also relies on NEET MDS scores for admissions. The candidate should have a BDS degree.
