Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Sion Mumbai Admission Process

Ayurved Mahavidyalaya and Seth RV Ayurved Hospital, Mumbai, often referred to as Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Sion Mumbai, is an esteemed institute for Ayurveda Education and Health Care. The institution offers a merit-based and very competitive selection procedure at the time of admission to merit most deserving candidates. The admission process for MD and MS under postgraduate studies is based on All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) scores. This exam has been designed specifically for candidates aspiring to enter postgraduate studies in Ayurveda. Various MD programs are offered in specialized areas concerning Ayurveda in the college. Eligibility requirements for the undergraduate programs entail having completed the 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects. Candidates holding a bachelor's or master's degree in Ayurveda from a recognized university are eligible to apply for postgraduate and doctoral programs.

Application Process

The application procedure changes according to the program available at Ayurved Mahavidyalaya and Seth R.V. Ayurved Hospital, Mumbai:

For the BAMS Program:

  1. Qualifying the NEET examination
  2. Registering for the state-level counseling process (since the college is located in Maharashtra).
  3. Filling out the college preference form during the counseling process.

Degree wise Admission Process

BAMS: The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) is the flagship program of the institute with an annual intake of 60 students. Admission in this program is based on NEET scores. A candidate should have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects.

MD Ayurveda: The college offers several MD programs in specialized fields of Ayurveda. Admissions for these courses are based on AIAPGET scores. Some of the MD courses offered are:

  1. MD Samhita and Siddhant (6 seats)
  2. MD Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana (6 seats)
  3. MD Kayachikitsa (6 seats)
  4. MD Dravyaguna (3 seats)

For MD in Samhita and Siddhant, Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana, and Kayachikitsa, selection will be strictly based on merit indexed from a written test of 100 marks.

PhD Programs: The college offers Ph.D. programs in various specializations of Ayurveda, such as:

  1. PhD Samhita and Siddhanta (6 seats)
  2. PhD Rasashastra and Bhaisajya Kalpana (6 seats)
  3. PhD Kayachikitsa (6 seats)
  4. PhD Dravyaguna (3 seats)
  5. PhD Panchkarma (3 seats)
  6. PhD Shalakya Tantra (3 seats)
  7. PhD Streerog and Prasuti Tantra (3 seats)
  8. PhD Shalya Tantra (3 seats)
  9. PhD Rognidan and Vikriti Vigyan (3 seats)

The admission procedure is likely to involve a separate entrance exam or even interview conducted by the college.

To take admission in any course after giving neet exam you have to qualify the exam first,

This is the most important criteria of NEET,

For general category - 50th percentile - 720-138( means you have to take atleast 138 marks out of 720 to qualify the exam if you are in general category)

For sc/st/obc - 40th percentile - 137-108

For general PwD - 45th percentile - 137-122

For sc/st/obc PwD - 40th percentile - 121-108

student first of all you have not mention about which college you wanted to ask you and secondary I am very sorry to mention that with just 192 marks you don't have any access of getting a seat in any of the Ayurvedic college either in government or private one even if you belongs to OBC category since the demand for ayurvedic has been tremendously increase and cut off also has been at very tremendous height so for getting an ayurvedic seat you need to at least cross a score of 400 then only for safe side you will be at getting seat.
