The oldest institution was Malik Sandal Institute of Art and Architecture, Bijapur (MSIAA). This institution provides quality education in architecture and design. Admission at MSIAA is pretty stringent since they only select the best talent to join their courses. MSIAA is certified by the All India Council for Technical Education and the Council of Architecture, thereby guaranteeing quality education. Admission into the MSIAA typically takes place in the summer months, ahead of the opening of the academic year. These are around August-September months. The institute accepts scores of national-level entrance exams for undergraduate admissions. Among these are NATA and JEE Main, which check aptitude in architecture, mathematical abilities, and general knowledge of a candidate.

For postgraduate admissions, MSIAA considers scores from the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (Karnataka PGCET). B.Arch

Intake is available under MSIAA at the 20 level for bachelor's in Architecture. Admission could be done either at NATA level or at JEE Main level (2-Paper). Qualified candidates who could successfully qualify entrance examinations with respect to the skills and knowledge possessed by a candidate such as aesthetic sensibility, along with drawing ability, and awareness of Mathematics with general aptitude will be considered fit.

M. Arch in Construction Project Management- It too was of 20 intakes of the course. Admission through GATE or PGcet procedure is applied. Whoever Bachelor degree in Architecture and related fields of it are eligible will get inducted.
