Rooms are adequate for first-year students only. Average, repeated food is given daily. Our hostel is clean, and they will fix any problems within a reasonable amount of time. Our hostel has schedules that say we should be back in the hostel by 8:00 p.m. I don't like the faculty of the hostel.
Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable, with good teaching quality. It makes students industrially ready. The pass percentage, I think, is 85%. Our teachers solve our doubts any time we want. We have so many big labs. We can use them at any time. We have all the facilities inside the college.
The highest package offered is INR 16 lacs for mechanical engineering, with 80% placement for our course. Benz, Amazon, etc. are top recruiting companies. Our college has high recruiting because of the alumni. One of our alumni is the CEO of the Indian Benz Company.
Management is good here, they are irresponsible and they do provide us with the food of good taste. The hostel foods are Tasteless. Wi-Fi facilities are also provided in our college but it is of no use, it doesn't work properly if asked they say that it is in repair condition
The teachers are helpful no doubt about that, but some teachers don't teach properly they tell us to write the answers, as presented in the PPT provided by them. And the other teachers are good. All the courses are difficult. If we had then we clear any course.
Nearly 60% of the students are placed in our college in on-campus placements. The package in our college is 8 Lacs per annum and very few companies are available for campus placements. The companies like Bosch and Toyota companies visit here.
The hostel is good and free. You can sneak into the hostel. Not too strict. But not too free; you also need to be careful. Also, the food is not bad. It's just okay. There is no Wi-Fi on campus. You cannot just use it. The library is full of couples. No sports, no games, and no medical facilities (bad response during the COVID-19 outbreak in the hostel).
Terrible lecturers. They just play YouTube in class. We have to sit just to watch YouTube in the classroom. Attendance is not taken regularly. Purposefully, they are not giving aggregate marks. 12 mark derivations are given for 5 marks to ruin exam timings. One easy problem is solved in class and the most difficult problem comes in the exam. They are not making the industry ready.
Only six members (including me) were placed in the core company (Toyota) that was off campus. Unfortunately, even Mercedes-Benz hires exclusively for IT roles, leaving core opportunities limited only to women (2 girls per year). 90% placement includes people placed in QSpider, JSpider, Kodenest, and Quant Masters (training institutes). They also include people who have been placed off campus through mass hiring at Infosys, TCS and Accenture. The funniest part is that they include students who got their parents jobs after their deaths and students who got government jobs on a PUC basis.
There is good infrastructure in our college. There are well-equipped labs and digitalized classrooms. The labs have high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity. Hostel facilities are available on campus for both boys and girls. There are separate blocks for boys, which can accommodate more than 500 students, and the girls' hostel can accommodate over 300 students. Medical facilities and a cafeteria are available.
JBIEIT's curriculum is broad based and includes core subjects like mathematics, science, and engineering fundamentals. The curriculum also includes the humanities and social sciences. It is not that difficult to pass the semester exams. Faculty will give guidance in each and every aspect.
There is a college recruitment training program. 50-80% of students get placed in the campus placements. Top recruiting companies like Wipro, TCS, Capgemini, and Tech Mahindra visit our college. Top roles such as data analyst, data scientist, and data engineer are recruited.
The infrastructure is quite good. Classrooms are okay. It has a Wi-Fi for students. The library is one of their best features. It is spacious and has many books. We can borrow books even without library cards. The canteen is quite satisfactory. The food is hygienic and tastes good. It has a girl's waiting hall, where girls can stay and spend their free time. It has gyms and a sports room for indoor games. It has large fields for outdoor sports. It also has an eco-park, pool, laboratories, etc.
Teachers are mostly helpful and kind. They are friendly and have good teaching skills. Though it might depend on teachers we get. Most of them are good. The course curriculum is okay, and most of the courses are relevant. However, a few of them like UI/UXare outdated. It is really easy to pass semester exams. Most of the papers are average. However, it can be difficult to score.
Only a few percentage of students got placed in the previous year. Most of them are jobless. They said it was due to a recession. There is no hope that the situation will improve. However, the highest package is 12 LPA by Licious in 2023. The lowest package is 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are mainly Accenture, Infosys, and TCS. Many students get internships in various companies like Mercedes Benz. Top roles offered are software engineer, system engineer, and design engineer.
The labs and classrooms are just attractive; they are maintained very cleanly to make students comfortable. When we think about the hostel, they offer the students hygiene and provide sufficient foods that are liked by the students.
The teachers at Malnad College of Engineering are the best because they are very friendly and clear up all the doubts regarding the subjects. All the teachers are very educated and have gained a lot of knowledge and skills. The relevant curriculum makes the students industry-ready; semester exams are answerable and the pass percentage is 60%.
Malnad College of Engineering is one of the top colleges in Hassan. This college offers us the opportunity to develop many skills so that the students can aim for their desired job and get placed in better companies. The average package they offer the students is 5 LPA.
It has good buildings and infrastructure. Labs and classroom building infrastructure should be improved, but they are good enough. The campus is large with well-developed buildings and an environment.
Semester exams are quite tough, but we can manage. We can get high-level questions, but we need to read everything as I know it will be not that difficult. However, they are a little difficult so we can pass the exams, and we need to do hard work. Faculty members are really good, well-behaved, and knowledgeable. They are good at teaching as well.
The college charges Rs. 22,000 for the KCET exam. The college charges Rs. 35,000 for the Comedk exam. The lowest package is 2 LPA and the highest package is 20 LPA. I think they pay me around eight or seven lakhs and the base is also important. Skills are more important than CGPA. We need to develop different kinds of skills to get placed in different companies.
The college infrastructure is quite average, meeting basic functional needs but lacking in modern amenities and design. The campus has a few main academic buildings, a library, and a couple of small labs, but they are often crowded and outdated. The classrooms are reasonably spacious but lack proper ventilation, which makes it uncomfortable during peak hours. Seating arrangements and basic classroom equipment, like projectors, are available but are not always in working order, and the quality of maintenance could be better. The library is moderately stocked, offering essential academic books and references, though it rarely carries updated or specialized material. There’s limited seating in the library, which makes it challenging for students who want a quiet place to study. Labs for practical courses in electronics, computing, and other fields are equipped with essential instruments, but many of them are outdated or in limited supply, leading to shared equipment during experiments. The college has a cafeteria, which is clean but offers a limited menu and seating space. Sports facilities are basic, with a small ground and some equipment for games, but these aren’t maintained very well. Overall, the infrastructure meets minimal requirements but doesn’t provide an inspiring or modern learning environment.
I am currently studying electronics and communication engineering, driven by a strong interest in understanding the principles of communication systems, electronics, and automation technologies. My college provides an average level of teaching; the faculty is competent but often lacks engagement and depth in explanations, which sometimes makes learning challenging. The curriculum covers foundational topics in electronics and communication but is not regularly updated, which leaves out many recent developments and advanced technologies in the field. For instance, subjects like artificial intelligence, IoT, and advanced communication protocols are either not included or only briefly mentioned.
As for job readiness, the curriculum provides a basic understanding but does not fully equip students for real-world roles in the industry. Most of the learning is theoretical, with limited practical exposure to industry-standard tools and technologies. Consequently, graduates may need additional training or certifications to meet industry demands. The placement support is also average, offering limited opportunities mainly in core electronics roles or generic IT positions. This situation makes it essential for students to self-study, intern, and seek out resources beyond the classroom to improve their skills and increase employability in a competitive job market.
It's a nice place to study our college has many trees and a good environment with good access of internet amwell established classrooms with projectors, equipments but college canteen is worst the food is not good
The quality of teaching is worst the lecturer are not good with the students they do not cover the position correctly and they treat the students worst and offen scold us instead of advising us their are very less knowledgeable and we'll behaved staff available..
Worst at placements the companies which comes to our college are not so privileged companies and most of our students are unemployed with zero skills and knowledge they are very bad at placements and not carrier oriented
Their is no value for money they are sucking the money from the students in the name of supplementary it's totally waste studying in this worst collage it's a huge loss both financially and the time we stent here most of the graduates are unemployed with zero skills
Campus Life is good it's a huge place and very good environment their are lots of places where we can enjoy our college life the only thing to cherish is we had a great fun thats because of a healthy environment and friends not because of college management
If are focused on your carrier and want to make an impact in this field then don't even think to join this collage if you have lots of money you just need to enjoy then you can think of this collage
My college is best in Hassan and has very good infrastructure facilities with good equipments very neat and clean classrooms with Wi-Fi and smartboard facilities.our hostel food is very very good and hygienic.
I'm studying Engineering the quality of teaching is very good because to reach my career in the future and the curriculum needs to be updated recent developments have to be done. My determination and courage towards make me job ready.
Quality of placements are very good in our college and also the highest salary packages or offer for every courses mainly the computer engineering courses have very good package or college higher authorities have very good support towards the students placements.
Ganesh, you haven't mentioned your Category. This is important because each Category has diiferent cut off for different streams. For example in 2019 Mock Counselling for KCET, a rank of 54495 secured a seat in Mechanical Branch in Malnad College under 1G Category. And a rank of 10334 under General Merit secured a seat in Electronics branch. So please do help us with your Category.
