Mamata Dental College, Khammam Admission Process

Mamata Dental College, Khammam, is one of the well-known dental colleges in Telangana, India. It has a comprehensive admission process for its Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and various Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) programs. The Dental Council of India (DCI) has approved and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited Mamata Dental College. It has a comprehensive selection process to admit only the best students.

The Mamata Dental College admission cycle generally coincides with the national-level entrance exams. For the BDS course, admissions are made through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) marks. For MDS courses, admissions are made through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for MDS (NEET MDS) marks.

Eligibility criteria for BDS program are successful passing of 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as principal subjects. For MDS programs, candidates must have passed BDS degree from a recognized college.

Application Process

The application process of Mamata Dental College varies according to the course:

For BDS program:

1. Clear the NEET exam with a valid mark.
2. Enroll for state-level or institutional counseling process, if required.
3. Fill up the application form with accurate personal and academic details.
4. Submit the requisite documents, including NEET score card, 10+2 mark sheets, and others as specified.
5. Pay the application fee as intimated by the college or counseling board.

For MDS courses:

Degree wise Admission Process

BDS: The BDS program at Mamata Dental College is approved for an intake of 100 students. Admission to the BDS program is carried out on the basis of the NEET score of the candidate. Selection is carried out as per guidelines of the responsible authorities, based on merit rank and reservation policy.

MDS: Nine specializations of Master of Dental Surgery courses are provided by Mamata Dental College. NEET MDS score is adopted in the admission for all MDS courses.

7. MDS Orthodontics (3 seats)
8. MDS Oral Medicine and Radiology (3 seats)
9. MDS Public Health Dentistry (3 seats)

The candidates for MDS courses must have cleared their BDS degree and must be qualified in the NEET MDS exam. The choice is made on the basis of the NEET MDS score and the counseling process by the respective authorities.

For BDS and MDS admissions, documents required are usually:

  • NEET/NEET MDS score card
  • Mark sheets of class 10 and 12
  • Mark sheets and certificate of BDS degree (for MDS applicants)
  • Transfer certificate
  • Migration certificate (if required)
  • Caste certificate (if required)
  • Domicile certificate (if required)
  • Passport-sized photographs taken recently
  • Aadhaar card or any other identification proof
