Application Process

1. Public Notice: Admission notices issued to the general public through public advertisements in other forms of press media and publicising on college's official websites.

2. Application Form Application Form can either be downloaded on its website from home or hand-picked over college office counters for interested persons.

3. Document Submission: Applicants need to submit the filled application form and attach all other necessary documents:

• Passport size photographs
• Mark sheets of qualifying examinations (10th, 12th, and Bachelor's degree for B.Ed; B.Ed degree for M.Ed)
• Transfer Certificate
• Community Certificate (if applicable)
• Any other relevant certificates as specified by the college

4. Entrance Examination: If the state government or the university policy requires, then applicants would have to appear for an entrance test.

Degree Wise Admission Process:

B. Ed: The course of B.Ed at Mangayarkarasi College of Education has an intake of 100 students as sanctioned. The admissions to the B.Ed program are strictly based on merit. They are conducted as per marks scored in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The state government, UT administration, and university policies are followed for selection. Candidates who have completed a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university are eligible to join the B.Ed program.

M.Ed: The M.Ed course is allowed to intake 50 students. Merit-based admission policy is also followed for the M.Ed program with regard to marks secured in the qualifying examination, that is, B.Ed and/or entrance examination. The admission procedure is guided by the state government's policy, university policy, and UT administration. Candidates can join the M.Ed program only after completing their B.Ed degree with a minimum percentage requirement as set by the university and NCTE norms.
