Their work also involves service delivery for the management of work-related disorders, podiatric disorders, fractures, sports injuries, disorders due to aging, tendinitis, musculoskeletal pain, aesthetic restoration, among others. Prosthetics and Orthotics Professionals play an important role in the comprehensive pre and post-surgical management of patients and promote community independence. Over the years their role has been significant in the field of humanitarian crises, competitive sports for persons with disabilities, and technology based rehabilitation.
