Hello Nishant,

Manipal Institute of Technology offers degree programmes at the undergraduate(UG) and postgraduate(PG) level. Besides offering programmes in the field of Engineering and Technology, the institute also offers postgraduate degree programmes in Computer Applications (MCA) and Science(MSc).To be eligible for admissions to BTech programmes, aspirants need to be eligible for it's MUOET(Manipal University Online Entrance Test). This includes a candidate’s score in Class 12th.Admissions to BTech programmes at MIT, Manipal is based on the ranks acquired in MUOET. After the exam, the institute conducts a counselling process which aspirants need to attend. Good Luck!

Hi there,
Hope you are doing well.
28512 rank in MET is very high and with this much rank there is only one branch available to you in Manipal campus i.e. Media technology which closes at 35584 for the last round. Also, there is some scope for Civil as it closes around 24-25k.

Hope it would help.
Thank you.

Hey.
The cut off for admission in Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal main campus for the
Electronics and Communication Engineering was a rank of 4954 in 2018. The cut off for the
Mechanical Engineering branch was a rank of 6138. Hence for these branches your chances for the main campus seem less. You have better chances in the other campuses and branches considering your rank.
You can use the link below for previous year trends.

Best of luck

According to the previous year cut offs 4k rank is not good enough for IT department in MIT Manipal. The closing rank was around 2.5 to 3k in 2018. But still you may go for counselling as the cut offs keep changing every year and luck might be on your favour this time.

All the best.

Dear candidate

Congratulations your score is enough to get cs branch at Manipal main campus.

Generally 130 to 145 questions should be correct to get the seat but as you mentioned that your score is 300  ,I think you can easily get cs there .there are 3 campus of Manipal University you can choose whatever you like .

Hope this will helpful.good luck.

Yes Aravinda Raman, you can definitely opt for CS branch at MIT. Your rank is too good!

Cheers.

Hello,

The admission authority will release the cutoff for top B.Tech branches of NITs for the admission of candidates in different NITs through JEE Main.

Factors determining the NITs cutoff for top B.Tech branches

  • Total number of applications received for the admission in the institute
  • Total number of candidates appearing for the JEE Main exam
  • Number of B.Tech seats available
  • The difficulty level of the JEE Main 2019 exam
  • Previous years’ cutoff trends

I would suggest you visit the careers360's link given below for detailed info of the cutoff

The link for the same is:https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/nits-cutoff-for-top-btech-branches

Hope this helps and all the very best!

Hello tharun,

As the pattern got changed this year so your rank cannot be predicted as as this year the pattern has been changed completely.

As earlier the test was held out of 200 marks and there was no negative marking. Also your rank we depend on the total number of students appeared for the exam.

So I would suggest you to wait for the result which will be announced in the first week of May.

Hope it helps.

Thank you :)

Hello Aspirant,

The rank predicton & admission possibilities would be difficult as Marking scheme has been changed, Previous year the Marking scheme was of total marks 200 but this year it is 800, Four marks will be awarded for every correct answer.

To know about the rank & admission possibilities I would suggest you to wait till it officially announced.

Good Luck!
