Hello Riya,
Based on your 85 percentile in JEE Mains 2025 and EWS category status , admission to SVNIT Surat is challenging but possible. Consider the following:
Percentile to Rank Conversion : An 85 percentile typically corresponds to an All India Rank (AIR) around 1,50,000.
EWS Category Advantage : EWS reservations may improve your chances compared to the general category.
Previous Year Cutoffs : In 2024, EWS closing ranks for SVNIT Surat varied by branch. For instance, Computer Science and Engineering closed at AIR 1,041 for Home State and 1,006 for Other State candidates.
Branch Selection : Less sought-after branches like Chemical or Civil Engineering had higher closing ranks, potentially increasing your admission chances.
Home State Quota : Being from Gujarat, the Home State quota may further enhance your prospects.
Given these factors, while admission to highly competitive branches may be difficult, exploring other engineering disciplines at SVNIT Surat could be a viable option.
You can use the JEE Main college predictor tool to predict which college you can get based on your score.

Dear
According to the information with a JEE Main percentile of 86 and an overall percentile of 66.89 , admission to SVNIT (Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology) might be challenging, especially considering the high competition for seats. For SC category candidates, the expected JEE Main cutoff for admission to NITs is around 55-62 percentile .
However, SVNIT also considers other factors such as your performance in the written test, group discussion, and personal interview . It's important to have a strong overall profile to improve your chances.

Hi there,
Hope you are doing fine.
Both the colleges mentioned above are the top engineering colleges.
You can pursue your studies from any of the above mentioned institutions and can excel further in your carrer.
But choosing one between the two depend on the field and stream you want to study in the future. You can visit the official website of both the colleges and can get an information about the previous year cutoff and the placement records of both the colleges and the academic facilities there and then can choose between the one depending on which suits you the most. You can also contact with their senior students and the alumni and can know about the college and the environment there and many more.
Hope this resolves your query.
Both branches are different if you consider their working areas electrical engineering deals with power generation, electronics, telecommunications, etc to get job in power plants, manufacturing, IT where as vlsi deals with designing chips.
Nit surat electrical is the most preferable branch among students because of its faculty members placement and wider scope.decision is yours in both the course you get placement offers.
Hello,
More specifically, mathematics and computing deal with the design of algorithms, the mathematics underlying a system's operation, the theory and application of computer systems, and the mathematical reasoning that underlies a program's operation.
Integrated Mathematics is applied mathematics which does not have computer system application and programming part.
Thank You
