72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in Persian shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work, and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned offered by the Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Lucknow Campus.
Eligibility Criteria
i. Urdu as a subject/language or as a medium in 10th/12th/Graduation level or equivalent Madrasa courses with Urduasmedium of Instruction approved by MANUU. ii. 55% marks in respective Post Graduate Programmes and eligibility criteria prescribed in general guidelines. Note:
i. In the case of a Ph.D. in Hindi/English the preference will be given to those who studied Urdu as a subject or as a Mediumin10th/10+2/Graduation level or equivalent Madrasa courses with Urdu as a medium of Instruction and those who completed MANUU.
ii. Admission to Urdu-exempted candidates shall be conditional subject to an undertaking that he/she will enroll and Pass the certificate Course in Urdu offered by the University Failing degree shall not be awarded
